The Undertaker details creative vision for AAA
The Undertaker has revealed his role behind the scenes in AAA and the vision he hopes will set the promotion apart from WWE’s other brands.
The Undertaker defined his role in the promotion on the Insight Podcast with Chris Van Vliet. He emphasized his long term ambitions for the promotion in comparison to the other WWE brands.
“Oh my gosh! I guess in layman’s terms, I’m the Head of Creative.”
When discussing El Grande Americano’s feud with original El Grande Americano, Undertaker shared his backstage interactions with the talents. He added that his vision for AAA is to differentiate it from NXT and other WWE brands.
“I don’t know how, there’s a bunch of kids here. No, I would reiterate to them how important what they’re about to go out and do is not only for AAA but for their own personal careers, trying to motivate them to do things differently and be more edgy, more aggressive, more violent, right? It took a while for that to kind of set in, and for them to see my vision.”
“My vision is, I want us to put out a product that is completely different from NXT, it’s completely different from SmackDown or Raw. I want it to be different from every other wrestling. That starts, to me, with storytelling, athleticism, and aggression. It’s a process, and everybody’s starting to buy into it and realizing that what we’re doing down there has got the attention of the wrestling community.”
Since taking over as an executive producer in AAA in August 2025, The Undertaker has focused on shaping the promotion’s identity and helping its talent develop a distinct style. As AAA continues to evolve under WWE’s involvement, he believes the brand’s focus on storytelling and in-ring intensity can help it stand apart in the wrestling landscape.
