MLW relocates upcoming show due to ‘breach’ of agreement
MLW is at odds with a legendary pro wrestling venue.
The promotion announced today that its October 3 television taping, which was scheduled to take place in Philadelphia at the 2300 Arena. has been moved to Center Stage in Atlanta. MLW states that the move was made due to 2300 Arena breaching its agreement with MLW, though details of the alleged breach were not provided. The 2300 Arena, located on South Swanson Street in Philly, is the former ECW Arena and regularly hosts pro wrestling and combat sports events. It’s been MLW’s home venue in the Philly area.
MLW says that it attempted to fund another venue in Philly for the October 3 show, but the timing made that impossible. When MLW does return to the city, it will not be at the 2300 Arena.
“We explored every reasonable option to keep this event in the Philadelphia area, but given the late timing, securing a suitable replacement venue was simply not possible,” MLW wrote. “MLW sincerely apologizes to our Philadelphia fans for this unfortunate situation. We appreciate your support and look forward to announcing our return to Philadelphia at another venue as soon as possible.”
Those who purchased tickets were instructed to contact the 2300 Arena and request a full refund.
There’s been no public statement from the 2300 Arena regarding the situation. The venue’s website no longer has the October 3 MLW show listed and does not currently have another event listed for that date. 2300 Arena hosted the NWA’s 78th anniversary show at the end of July and has a slate of MMA and boxing events in the coming weeks.

After a multi-year hiatus, MLW Fusion returned this May with weekly episodes. YouTube and NJPW World are among the platforms where the show can be seen.
Tickets for the October 3 taping in Atlanta are going on sale next Monday (August 10) at 10 a.m. Eastern time. Killer Kross, Mistico, Matt Riddle, Shotzi, Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows, Donovan Dijak, and Austin Aries are some of the talent advertised.
