Kyle Fletcher addresses wanting to ‘be the guy that leads’ AEW ‘into the next 10, 20 years’
Kyle Fletcher has embraced the expectations that run parallel to being viewed as a future face of AEW. He has taken every opportunity and challenge to refine his abilities, with the goal of being the promotion’s cornerstone.
The former TNT Champion told The Culture Collective about the pressure that comes along with being entrusted to carry forward the promotion is ‘real’ and motivates him to continue improving. And he is hopeful to lead AEW for the next decade or two.
“Every step along the way, I treated it like it meant the world to me because it did. This is literally my dream. I’m living my dream. And it’s like the bigger the opportunities get and the bigger the platform, the bigger that pressure gets. But I think that pressure is necessary to succeed and to keep pushing and keep growing because the pressure gets bigger, and more people are relying on me and more people are depending on me to go and do an awesome job.”

Within four years of debuting on All Elite Wrestling, Fletcher has accumulated a list of singles title reigns. At Dynamite: Beach Break on July 8 he defeated Konosuke Takeshita to kick off his first and current reign as International Champion.
