WWE SummerSlam 2029 location reportedly revealed
The location of WWE SummerSlam 2029 has reportedly been revealed.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported Thursday that a source with direct knowledge said the event will be held in Indianapolis.
WWE announced an agreement with Indiana Sports Corp in June 2024 that would bring a WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Royal Rumble to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The first event held as part of the agreement was the 2025 Royal Rumble.
WWE also ran the WrestlePalooza PLE at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in September 2025. The March 2, 2026 episode of WWE Raw was held at the same venue.
At the time the agreement was announced, the site fees were said to be the largest for any WrestleMania or Royal Rumble to date. However, no date for a future WrestleMania in the city has been announced.
Dave Meltzer wrote more about WWE’s deal with Indiana Sports Corp in a subscriber-exclusive article from June 2024:
“No financial terms were listed past the sports tourism agency was strapping into its $5 million tourism bid fund that is part of the state’s budget with the idea of luring major sports events to the city.”
