Je’Von Evans agrees with Grayson Waller’s comments about NXT roster

Je’Von Evans agrees with the comments Grayson Waller made about the NXT roster on the July 28 episode of WWE NXT.

Waller made an unadvertised appearance on the show and cut one some have called a “worked-shoot promo.” One comment he made during the segment was that only about 10 percent of the roster was ready for a main roster call-up and that they are all from the NXT women’s division.

During a recent interview with The Wrestling Classic, Evans was asked about Waller’s comments and responded that he agrees with them and hopes they light a fire under the NXT men’s division.

Evans said:

“Oh, I mean, he was being real. He was being honest, you feel me? I feel like the roster, they’re trying to do their thing, but the women are going crazy right now, especially in NXT, you feel me? And so, I really hope that woke up the men’s roster because if it didn’t, then Grayson is going to have to take over and become champion. And I feel like nobody really wants that.”

Je’Von Evans’ recent WWE Raw record

Evans is coming off a win on last week’s edition of Raw, having defeated Ethan Page on the show. The week prior, he defeated Rusev on the July 27 Raw from the Intuit Dome.

The last time Evans lost a singles match on WWE programming (not counting the Gauntlet match on July 13) was in the semifinals of the King of the Ring tournament on the June 19 SmackDown, when he lost to Jey Uso.
