Britt Baker suffered concussion at AEW Fight for the Fallen

Britt Baker suffered a concussion during her match at Fight for the Fallen last night.

Baker confirmed the injury while responding to a tweet from referee Aubrey Edwards about losing an earring while leaving the show: “Hurriedly left the venue to take care of a concussed coworker and checked on her every hour of the night. Next pair is on me Ref Aubrey”

John Thorne, owner of Absolute Intense Wrestling, tweeted after speaking with Baker: “I just spoke to Britt, she for sure suffered a concussion mid match last night and has to follow up with a doctor this week. I wanted to roast her about the wrong corner thing but it sounds like it is a pretty severe one so I guess I’ll let her slide this time.”

Baker & Riho teamed against Bea Priestley & Shoko Nakajima on the Fight for the Fallen pre-show. Baker continued to wrestle after her injury, with Nakajima & Priestley winning when Nakajima pinned Riho.

This was Baker’s second match for AEW. She defeated Nyla Rose, Awesome Kong, and Kylie Rae in a four-way match at Double or Nothing in May.

AEW’s next event is All Out in Hoffman Estates, Illinois on August 31.
