Kenny Omega (w/ Don Callis) vs. Bryan Danielson went to a time-limit draw

They stared off with each other for a good bit of time to open the show, just soaking in the moment. Omega powered Danielson into the ropes and "broke" the tie-up with a chop. Danielson surprised Omega with a kick to the pectoral muscle. Omega arrogantly broke another hold and was met with another mid kick for his trouble.

Omega countered Danielson's monkey flip with a cartwheel and dropped him with a chop. Danielson bent Omega's fingers all the way back to the mat and stomped on his exposed elbow. He laid in repeated strikes in the corner. Omega tried to turn it around, but Danielson kept up the attack. Danielson sent Omega to the floor and took him out with a great tope suicida.

Back in the ring, Danielson landed a diving knee to Omega's outstretched arm. Omega pulled Danielson's hair to reverse the momentum, laying in more chops. Danielson eventually fired back but was cut off with a knee to the gut. Omega hit the rolling senton portion of You Can't Escape, but Danielson got his knees up on the moonsault attempt.

Danielson fought back with more strikes and a running forearm that took Omega down. A hurricanrana followed for two, but Omega came back with one of his own. Danielson rolled to the floor. Omega called for the Terminator dive and landed it. Danielson countered the Kotaro Crusher with a series of cradles before flipping over into Cattle Mutilation. Omega quickly got his foot on the ropes. Danielson followed it up with a busaiku knee to the ramp.

Out on the ramp, Danielson continued to lay in mid kicks, but Omega countered into a brutal snap dragon suplex on the plexiglass. He got a massive running start and nailed a V-Trigger, leading to a commercial. Upon return, Omega was still firmly in control and immediately just dumped Danielson on the ropes with a nasty buckle bomb. Omega followed it up with a missile dropkick for two.

Danielson cradled Omega for two but was taken out with a spinning heel kick and a V-Trigger. Omega perched Danielson on the top turnbuckle, but Danielson escaped and hit an avalanche back suplex. They traded strikes until Omega hit a V-Trigger. Danielson came back with a discus forearm and a Regal-Plex for a great near fall.

Omega cut Danielson off after it took too long to climb the ropes. At the 25-minute mark, Omega landed an insane avalanche dragon suplex for another excellent near fall. He hit another V-Trigger and set up for the One-Winged Angel, but Danielson turned it into a reverse hurricanrana. Danielson avoided another V-Trigger and hit a buzzsaw kick.

Danielson went for the Busaiku Knee, but Omega turned it into a powerbomb and another V-Trigger for a close near fall. Omega climbed the ropes and went for a phoenix splash, but Danielson rolled out of the way. Danielson laid in repeated kicks. Omega tried to fight back, but Danielson dropped him with another buzzsaw kick.

American Dragon laid in stomps before rolling over into the Lebell Lock. He couldn't lock on the omoplata aspect of it and Omega reached the ropes. Omega hit a V-Trigger and they both countered big moves before a kick sent them both to the mat. They traded headbutts and then closed fist right hands. They traded more strikes and then the bell sounded, rather unceremoniously. The crowd booed loudly at the finish.

– Right at the bell, the Young Bucks and Adam Cole ran out as Danielson and Omega continued to fight. The Bucks crushed Danielson with a double superkick, but then Christian Cage and the Jurassic Express ran out to send the Elite packing.

CM Punk promo

Punk's glad he's not wrestling on Dynamite: "How do you follow that?" He said it's been a long time since he's been in New York City and an even longer time since professional wrestling has been here. The fans want the old CM Punk? "Be careful what you wish for." He tried to come out here and mean mug, but he's just so happy to see everyone here that he can't help but smile.

It's been so long since Punk's been here that he gets pissed off, because nobody can take this from him. As for Team Taz and Powerhouse Hobbs? They should've put him through the table and finished the job, because it's his job to wake them up and it's his job to tuck them back in. "At Rampage, Powerhouse Hobbs goes to sleep."

MJF (w/ Wardlow) defeated Brian Pillman Jr.

Pillman refused a handshake and used a double leg takedown to lay in shots. He followed it up with repeated arm drags and a big back body drop. Pillman kept up the attack, out-wrestling MJF the whole way until MJF starched him with a slap. Pillman fired back with one of his own, and MJF begged off before driving Pillman's face into the turnbuckle. Pillman came back with a sunset flip and a backslide before MJF sent him shoulder-first into the canvas ahead of the break.

Once back, MJF was still in control and taunting about Pillman's late father. Pillman used evasive maneuvers and hit a high crossbody to buy him some time. Pillman landed repeated forearms and a thrust kick before repeatedly driving MJF's face into the turnbuckle. He then hit a snap powerslam for two.

Pillman looked to hit a dive, but MJF pulled Julia Hart into the way and used the distraction to hit a clothesline. MJF and Hart exchanced words, but that distraction allowed Pillman to hit a diving dropkick. Pillman went for a springboard upon re-entry to the ring, but MJF caught it and turned it into the Salt of the Earth, forcing Pillman to submit.

Chris Jericho and Jake Hager were asked about Dan Lambert and the Men of the Year. Hager said "Men of the Year? More like Boys of the Week." Jericho challenged Lambert to bring America's Top Team to Rampage.

Malakai Black defeated Cody Rhodes (w/ Brandi Rhodes & Arn Anderson)

Both men wrestled to a stalemate at the start. Cody took Black down with a right hand, but Black surprised him with a leg sweep. Cody rolled to the floor and Black feinted on a dive before backflipping into his cross-legged sitting. Brandi entered the ring and flipped off Cody; the distraction was enough to allow Cody to attack. Black quickly turned it into a modified octopus hold and a cradle for two.

Cody sent Black to the ramp and hit a Disaster Kick. He went for a springboard, but Black countered with a jumping knee ahead of the commercial. Once back, we had a cradle exchange and then Black immediately hit the spinning heel kick. Cody fell limp to the floor, and Black couldn't even drag him back into the ring. Eventually Black got Cody into the ring, but Cody got his leg on the ropes during the cover.

Black went for a running attack, but Cody used misdirection and hit a chop block. He then hit a dragon screw across the ropes. Back in the ring, Black surprised Cody with a back elbow and a lifting kick. Black countered Cross Rhodes and just tossed Cody to counter some running offense.

Cody caught a kick and went for Cross Rhodes again. Black escaped, but Cody then hit the Cody Cutter and Cross Rhodes for a great near fall. Arn got on the apron but slipped off. Black whipped Cody into Arn, forcing Cody to go and check on him. Arn implored Cody to get back in the ring, and Cody obliged.

Back in the ring, Cody laid in corner strikes. He wouldn't break at the referee's request and eventually shoved the official out of the way. Black used the distraction to spray mist from his mouth and roll Cody up for the win.

Sammy Guevara called out Miro for attacking a defenseless man. Miro called him a fool. Next week, they will face off for the TNT Championship. When Guevara wins, he's buying Fuego Del Sol a new car.

Sting & Darby Allin defeated FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) (w/ Tully Blanchard)

Allin started off, but FTR wanted Sting in the match. Sting overpowered Cash right away, but brief interference from Dax allowed FTR to take control. Sting fought back with right hands and body slams on both opponents. He went for the Stinger Splash, but Dax pulled Cash out of the way and they overwhelmed Sting with the two-on-one advantage.

A gut punch from Sting allowed Allin to tag in and take out both of FTR with a Coffin Drop. He went for another out on the floor, but FTR caught him and tossed him into the edge of the ring ahead of a break. Once back, Allin used evasive maneuvers to escape the beatdown and reach Sting for the hot tag.

Sting dispatched Cash and hit a spinebuster on Dax for two. FTR wanted the spike piledriver on Allin, but Sting sent Cash packing and landed a diving crossbody on Dax. Dax rolled up Sting for a good near fall. He went for a Tombstone Piledriver, but Sting reversed it into Scorpion Death Drop position. Allin looked for a Coffin Drop, but Cash cut it off. Sting landed Stinger Splashes on both opponents and a Scorpion Death Drop on Cash. Dax and Tully tried to bait him into splashing a chair, but Sting had it scouted and locked on the Scorpion Deathlock.

Cash tried to pull his partner to the ropes, but Allin cut him off with a Coffin Drop and Sting pulled Dax into the center of the ring for the submission.

AEW Women's World Championship: Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. (c) (w/ Rebel & Jamie Hayter) defeated Ruby Soho

They had a long collar-and-elbow tie-up at the bell. After a technical exchange, Soho landed a rising kick, leading to Baker recovering on the floor. Soho climbed the ropes and landed a crossbody on Rebel and Hayter but was caught by a thrust kick and a hangman's neckbreaker on the floor ahead of the break.

Upon return, Soho used a headscissors to send Baker face-first into the turnbuckle. She landed repeated running kicks and went for a leg sweep, but Baker countered it into a forearm smash. Soho came back with a backdrop and thrust kick, but Baker cut her off with a superkick, leading to the double down.

We got a slugfest as they traded strikes. Soho got the advantage with headbutts, but Baker swept Soho's leg and went for the Lockjaw. Soho escaped, but Baker kept up the momentum with a sling blade. Rebel passed Baker the glove.

Soho countered the curb stomp and applied a single-leg Boston crab. She catapulted Baker into the turnbuckle and hit a step-up enziguiri before a top-rope senton got a good near fall. Baker came back with a neckbreaker and a thrust kick for two. She thought about the Pittsburgh Sunrise, but Soho popped up and tried to suplex Baker to the floor.

They fought on the top rope, where Baker hit a nasty avalanche air raid crash for a near fall. Baker stomped Soho's face on the steps and hit the curb stomp for yet another near fall. She argued with the official's count, and Soho rolled her up for a near fall. Soho hit the No Future on Baker and Rebel, but the distraction allowed Hayter to attack and then Baker to take advantage with the Lockjaw to retain.
