TNA Genesis 2026 Predictions

TNA Genesis 2026 Elijah vs Mustafa Ali

TNA Genesis 2026 is lined up as the first major pay per view test of the new AMC era, with multiple championships, a personal grudge match, and a retirement bout all on one card. The show takes place Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Curtis Culwell Center, with TNA listing a 6:00 PM local start time.

Below are my TNA Genesis 2026 predictions based on the stories TNA has been building on iMPACT! and the currently advertised lineup.

World title prediction: Nic Nemeth shocks the winner

This is the one that hinges on what happens on Thursday Night iMPACT! on AMC, because the Kazarian vs Santana title match was moved off Genesis and onto the January 15 debut. Nic Nemeth will likely be challenging the winner for the TNA World Championship at Genesis.

My pick is Nemeth leaving Genesis as champion. He has been positioned as a top level threat, and he has openly teased making an immediate statement around the AMC launch. If TNA wants a headline moment that screams “new era,” a Nemeth title win two nights after the debut fits the assignment.

Knockouts and tag titles: champions hold the line

Léi Yǐng Lee vs Dani Luna feels like a classic “credible challenger, but not yet” defense. TNA has presented Lee’s reign as part of a fresh direction, and Luna’s reinvention makes her dangerous, but I think Genesis is where Lee wins a hard match and keeps momentum.

In the tag title match, The Righteous have been built as unsettling disruptors, yet The Hardys are still the safest bet to retain with the company in spotlight mode on a big weekend.

X Division: Slater survives the numbers game

The three way dynamic is perfect for a smart champion retention. Cedric Alexander has instant credibility, Moose is always a monster, and that combo lets Slater win without “beating” Moose in a direct singles sense. I’m calling Slater retaining by capitalizing on chaos, likely pinning Alexander.

The non title matches: payoffs and a ruthless goodbye

Rich Swann vs AJ Francis has been framed as friends turned enemies, so I’m taking Swann to close the book with the more satisfying babyface win.

For JDC’s retirement match, I’m picking Eddie Edwards. TNA has leaned into the emotion, and a villainous win gives them a strong angle to spin out of the farewell.

Finally, Mustafa Ali vs Elijah has been presented as a humiliation and retaliation cycle, which usually ends with the wronged side getting the big win on pay per view. Give me Elijah.
