During the opening night of the New Japan Cup, NJPW aired a video hyping an upcoming debut.

The video announced that El Phantasmo is coming to NJPW soon, though a date for his debut wasn’t given. It was indicated that El Phantasmo will be a member of Bullet Club, with the Bullet Club logo being shown at the end of the video.

Dave Meltzer reported last month that El Phantasmo is expected to debut in this year’s Best of the Super Juniors tournament.

El Phantasmo is 32 years old and from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He wrestles on the United Kingdom independent scene and is a regular for Revolution Pro Wrestling, which has a partnership with NJPW.

El Phantasmo was the winner of last year’s British J-Cup tournament in RevPro. He defeated Bandido in the first round, Jushin Thunder Liger in the second round, and won an elimination match against Rich Swann, Rocky Romero, and KUSHIDA in the finals.

At RevPro’s Epic Encounter show in London on May 10, El Phantasmo will challenge for David Starr’s Undisputed British Cruiserweight Championship in a ladder match.
