Tanahashi renews NJPW deal, Beer City Bruiser re-signs with ROH

Hiroshi Tanahashi has officially renewed his contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Tanahashi announced the news via Twitter last night (rough translation via Google Translate): “Contract renewal with New Japan Wrestling. I will do my best next fiscal year too!”

The news comes in advance of Tanahashi headlining Wrestle Kingdom 13 at the Tokyo Dome on January 4. Tanahashi, who won this year’s G1 Climax, will challenge for Kenny Omega’s IWGP Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom.

In another contract note, Beer City Bruiser tweeted that he’s re-signed with Ring of Honor but will still be able to work select independent dates: “I have officially re-signed with @ringofhonor wrestling through 2019! With my new contract I am still able to work select Independent companies! It’s still Mouth Punching Time in ROH, so let’s give a Toast Of Honor in 2019!!”

Beer City Bruiser has been regularly teaming with Brian Milonas as The Bouncers in ROH.
