Lucha Libre AAA postpones Rey de Reyes 2020

The latest major show postponement is AAA’s Rey de Reyes event which was scheduled for next Saturday (March 21) in Merida on the Yucatan Peninsula.

This was the show set to be headlined by the first match ever between the Psycho Circus (the reunited Psycho Clown, Murder Clown & Monsther Clown) and La Faccion Ingobernable (Rush, LA Park & Bestia del Ring).

Kenny Omega was to defend the AAA Mega Heavyweight Championship against Laredo Kid, and Michael Nakazawa, Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz, Pentagon Jr., and Fenix, all based in the United States were to appear on the show. Omega was questionable because of his broken finger while at this time it would be difficult to ensure that the others would be able to come and return.

This was scheduled to be Omega’s third defense of the Mega Heavyweight title since winning it from Fenix in October.

At this point CMLL has canceled both tomorrow and Tuesday’s show in Guadalajara. Most other wrestling in Mexico is still going on, including Arena Mexico at this point not having canceled any shows, but as we have seen, things change by the minute.
