MLW holding first pay-per-view this November

MLW will be holding its first-ever pay-per-view event later this year.

MLW announced via Sports Illustrated today that their first PPV will be held at Cicero Stadium in Cicero, Illinois on Saturday, November 2. The show is being called Saturday Night SuperFight and will cost $19.95.

Sports Illustrated noted that the PPV will be available on all cable and dish carriers in the United States and Canada, and MLW’s Court Bauer is involved in conversations for a deal to stream worldwide.

“I have a lot of goals for MLW. After hitting live television, we are moving to another goal in pay-per-view,” Bauer told Sports Illustrated. “And now the onus is on us to deliver something that feels different, especially in such a competitive environment. So we’re going to bring a legitimate superfight to pay-per-view with Saturday Night SuperFight.”

MLW’s next live special and television tapings are taking place at Cicero Stadium tomorrow (July 6). The one-hour live special will air on beIN Sports starting at 9 p.m. Eastern time and will feature Tom Lawlor defending the MLW World Heavyweight Championship against Jacob Fatu, National Openweight Champion Alexander Hammerstone issuing a “Star Spangled Hammer” challenge, Myron Reed vs. Rey Horus, and a live edition of the Jim Cornette Experience with Salina de la Renta.
