EVIL to miss rest of Road to Power Struggle tour due to ankle injury

EVIL will miss the remainder of NJPW’s Road to Power Struggle tour due to injury.

NJPW announced today that EVIL has suffered a left ankle injury and won’t be wrestling on the rest of the Road to Power Struggle tour. EVIL’s Los Ingobernables de Japon stablemate BUSHI will replace him in the matches that he was scheduled for.

Los Ingobernables de Japon (Tetsuya Naito, SANADA, Shingo Takagi & BUSHI) defeated Suzuki-gun (Minoru Suzuki, Zack Sabre Jr., Taichi & Yoshinobu Kanemaru) at this morning’s Road to Power Struggle show in Fukushima.

The last Road to Power Struggle event will take place on November 1. The tour features NJPW’s Super Junior Tag League, and the top two teams will face off at Power Struggle on November 3 to determine the tournament winner.

Jay White vs. Hirooki Goto for the IWGP Intercontinental title, KENTA vs. Tomohiro Ishii for the NEVER Openweight Championship, Naito vs. Taichi, and Kazuchika Okada & YOSHI-HASHI vs. Kota Ibushi & Hiroshi Tanahashi have also been announced for Power Struggle.
