AAA star names Roman Reigns and Finn Balor as WWE dream rivals
Lucha Libre AAA performer Jack Cartwheel has sights set on several high-profile opponents within the promotion and in WWE.
Cartwheel revealed his dream opponents during an interaction on Pep Shop Collectibles. He named AAA’s Pagano and SmackDown star Rey Fenix as luchadors he would like to face someday. A feud with Fenix was being aligned once on the indies but it never came to fruition.
“I’ve never had a match against Pagano. I think being Pagano would be really fun with the dynamic of a small guy versus a big guy and him being terrifying, me being cleancut. I think that would be a great match. I’ve never had a match against Rey Fenix. I think that would be so insanely cool. We did an angle a really long time ago, when at the crash, and I think it just happened with weird timing where we set up an angle but we never actually had the match after it.”
When talking about WWE and NXT names he would like to compete against, Cartwheel instantly named Je’Von Evans, expressing interest in a rematch. He also listed Roman Reigns, Finn Balor, Kit Wilson and Jacob Fatu among the talents he hopes to step in the ring with in the future.
“Okay. So, yeah, I mean, Je’Von Evans, I would love to have another match with him. Finn Balor is one of my my greats of all time that I want to face. Roman Reigns is another great of all time I would like to face. Are you kidding me? That would be sick. I think it’d be so cool to get to NXT and wrestle with the Vanity Project guys that I got to work on the indies when we were all on (WWE) ID together. Now I’m at AAA, they’re on NXT. But I hope that one day we can merge back.”
“And that’s just the beginning. I think Kit Wilson and Matt Cardona like Danhausen, Jacob Fatu. I should say Jacob Fatu too because he’s also from this Northern California area along with me that I’ve actually had a match with him on the indies in this area before he got picked up.”
