Actor Russell Crowe praises working with WWE star Drew McIntyre: ‘Salt of the earth’
Drew McIntyre’s WWE absence continues as he is focused on expanding his acting portfolio and transition into Hollywood.
The former WWE Champion shared an image on X with actor Russell Crowe showing off their physique at the gym. The two are co-stars in the Highlander reboot and The Last Druid. Crowe reflected on his interaction with McIntyre labeling him a ‘good lad’ and ‘Salt of the earth’ before talking about their shooting schedule.
“In the gym with Drew McIntyre. Good lad. Salt of the earth. Just finishing up the shoot on The Last Druid. We have been shooting in Spain since May. It has been two years now since playing Hermann Goering in Nuremberg. The long sweaty days in the beautiful Spanish sunshine have definitely been a great motivator. As I always say, it’s one layer of tissue paper at a time. Consistency is your friend,” posted Crowe.
McIntyre’s last WWE match was at WrestleMania against Jacob Fatu. Since then he is building his Hollywood resume with The Last Druid set for release in September, and Highlander some time next year.
