AEW files lawsuit against Queen of the Ring producers over $105,000 in alleged unpaid fees
AEW is reportedly suing Ring Productions LLC, the production company behind the Queen of the Ring movie.
According to Post Wrestling, Ring Productions LLC signed a sponsorship agreement with AEW in January 2025, with All Elite receiving $350,000. However, AEW alleges in the lawsuit that more than $105,000 in sponsorship fees is still pending. The promotion actively promoted the Queen of the Ring movie and hosted sponsored matches across AEW programming, including cast members making ringside appearances, featuring the movie trailer at arena events and the promotion’s stars going work on social media to promote the film.

The breakup of the unpaid fees, based on the lawsuit filed, features $100,000 in sponsorship fees and over $5,000 in contracted talent travel costs. Additionally, the promotion has added a 1.5% interest charge to the delayed fees.
The 2025 biographical drama is centered around pro wrestler Mildred Burke, portrayed by Emily Bett Rickards. The film explored Burke’s career, her rise as one of the first major female wrestling stars, and her efforts to gain recognition in a male-dominated industry. It also featured Naomi from WWE, Mickie James, Toni Storm and Britt Baker in supporting roles.
