Adam Cole segment announced for AEW Dynamite

After coming up just short in his attempt to earn a future AEW World Championship shot, Adam Cole is set to appear on Dynamite this week.

AEW has announced that we’ll hear from Cole on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite. Cole will address his title eliminator match against MJF from last week’s show. That match ended in a 30-minute time limit draw.

Cole had MJF beat last Wednesday, but time expired before the referee could count to three. Cole grabbed a microphone after the bell rang and challenged MJF to add five more minutes onto the match. MJF refused and bailed.

An AEW World Championship match with MJF defending against NJPW star Hiroshi Tanahashi is set for this Sunday’s Forbidden Door pay-per-view, but MJF has claimed that he’s refusing to defend the title against Tanahashi and may no-show the match. In a promo last week, MJF called NJPW a “rinky-dink indie fed in Japan.”

Wednesday’s Dynamite is taking place at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. It will feature Dynamite’s final build to Forbidden Door. Here’s everything that’s been announced for the episode:

  • TBS Champion Kris Statlander defends against Taya Valkyrie
  • Concession stand brawl: Jeff Jarrett vs. Mark Briscoe
  • Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara & Minoru Suzuki vs. Action Andretti, Darius Martin & AR Fox
  • Blind eliminator tournament for an AEW Tag Team title shot
  • The Hardys vs. The Gunns
  • Orange Cassidy & Katsuyori Shibata vs. Zack Sabre Jr. & Daniel Garcia
  • We’ll hear from Adam Cole
