Adam Copeland lists ‘great white whales’ he’s still trying to catch before retirement
Over the next several weeks, Adam Copeland will be crossing a few items off his wrestling bucket list.
The 52-year-old AEW star shared an Instagram post listing off some of the “great white whales” he’s still trying to catch before he ends his in-ring career. He listed four venues — and three of them are places Copeland will be wrestling at soon. He’s competing at Arena Mexico this Wednesday, Wembley Stadium at the end of the month, and Maple Leaf Gardens in October. The only other venue Copeland listed was the Tokyo Dome, which could be a possibility as soon as January 2027 given AEW’s partnership with NJPW.
Copeland also wrote down his dream opponents, but the only visible name before the picture cuts off is Kenny Omega.
“As it winds down there’s still some great white whales to catch,” Copeland wrote in the caption for his post.

When Wembley Stadium hosts All In on August 30, Adam Copeland & Christian Cage vs. The Young Bucks will be among the matches taking place. The AEW Tag Team titles are on the line with Matt & Nick Jackson challenging the former Edge & Christian in a dream match.
Copeland, Cage & The Young Bucks will be on the same side at Arena Mexico this Wednesday when they face off against the Death Riders (Jon Moxley, PAC, Daniel Garcia & Wheeler Yuta) in an eight-man tag match at AEW Grand Slam Mexico.
The Maple Leaf Gardens date Copeland is working is on October 3 for Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling. The venue is now named the Mattamy Athletic Centre.
Whenever he does decide to retire, it’ll be easier for Copeland to step away than it was in 2011 when he was medically disqualified from the ring. He would be open to having a conversation with Tony Khan about potentially helping out behind the scenes after his days as an active wrestler are over.
