Adam Sandler on working with MJF: ‘I love my fake son’
Adam Sandler loves his fake son.
In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ stars Adam Sandler and Julie Bowen both praised MJF, who has a major part in the film as their son.
“Funny as hell,” Sandler said, with Bowen agreeing. “What a great kid. Love him. Family member.”
Bowen noted that he had left filming to do a match and came back bruised, and was worried for him.
“He went and had a match and came back the next day. It was at the Garden, I think…he had some extra bruises. That kid is jacked and he’s a stud. I’m happy to say he’s my fake son forever. I love my fake son. I love him in real life,” Sandler said.
WWE star Becky Lynch is also in the film, which is scheduled to be released on July 25 on Netflix.
MJF played Lance Von Erich in a part that was largely cut from the film ‘The Iron Claw’ in 2023. In AEW, he has continued to build momentum by aligning himself with The Hurt Syndicate and winning the Casino Battle Royal at All In last weekend to secure a future AEW World Championship match.
