Live coverage begins at 8 p.m. Eastern.
The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. GoA (Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona)
Matt Jackson started the match with Toa Liona, overpowering Matt Jackson early on. Nick Jackson tagged in and quickly used his speed to even up the conflict, flipping over the back of Liona leading to a blind tag from Matt Jackson and a series of double teams that ended with stereo planchas to the floor, but GoA caught them and drove them into each other to take control back. Kaun slowed down Matt Jackson by stomping on the ankle, and Nick Jackson slapped the back of Liona to break a double submission.
Nick Jackson baited GoA into attacking and they ended up hitting each other, allowing the Bucks to hit their usual setup for Nick Jackson flipping over the legs of Matt Jackson to the floor. Matt hit the dropkick between the ropes, and hung on, while Nick flipped over the ropes, but GoA caught him and powerbombed him into the back of Matt Jackson. That was a great spot.
This began an extended heat segment on Matt Jackson by GoA, as they continually cut off the offence and tag attempts over the next few minutes. Matt Jackson countered a suplex and almost tagged up, but Kaun caught him. He sent Jackson back to his corner and charged, but Matt Jackson dodged onto the apron, hit a flipping stunner on Liona who was on the floor, came back into the ring and made the hot tag to Nick Jackson, who hit a series of moves ending with a bulldog on Kaun, then moved to the apron, hit a PK on Liona, a slingshot X-Factor on Kaun, and floated over the middle rope into moonsault off the apron onto Liona.
Nick Jackson hit a double stomp to the back of Liona’s head, rolled forward out of it into a backstabber on Bishop Kaun. Matt Jackson hit an elbow drop on Kaun while Nick Jackson hit a senton bomb for a two count. The Bucks went for More Bang for Your Buck, but Liona cut them off and stacked both Jackson brothers on his shoulders and hit a Samoan Drop on both. Kaun hit a dive of his own onto both Bucks and Liona then floated over the ropes and hit a moonsault onto the Bucks, but landed mid flip and fell to the floor on his head, and just got up, yelled, and came back into the ring to pounce Matt Jackson.
Liona missed a senton on the apron to Matt Jackson and he tagged out to Nick, who hit an incredible dive after running up the ropes. The Bucks hit a BTE Trigger on Kaun, but Liona broke the fall. The Bucks traded superkicks on Liona, who no sold them, so Matt grabbed Liona in a front facelock and as Liona picked Matt up, Nick superkicked the knee and drive Liona down into a DDT. They then grabbed Kaun and hit a Meltzer Driver for the pinfall.
Result: The Young Bucks defeated GoA
This match ruled. The Young Bucks, again, are the best tag team in the business, as everything they do is spectacular, smooth, and sets up the next thing that is going to happen. Combine that with their selling making the other team look great, the Young Bucks remain one of the best teams ever. GoA looked fantastic in this match, and they definitely are making an argument for being higher on the card with every performance as of late.
–FTR and Stokely Hathaway were backstage and cut a promo on the Bucks as they celebrated. Hathaway noted that there was no way that the Bucks would be tag team champions in 2026. Good promo here.
–A hype video aired for Tommaso Ciampa, Claudio Castagnoli, and Roderick Strong, which is happening later tonight. It highlighted matches all three had in ROH, and the various accolades they have had in wrestling. This was excellent.
–Brody King cut a short promo about his match on Wednesday, celebrating his quick win over MJF and saying that it was only the beginning.
–Renee Paquette brought Kris Statlander to the ring. Statlander was about to announce the stipulations for her match with Thekla, but Thekla attacked from behind. The Sisters of Sin came down and they held Statlander while Thekla strapped her with her belt. After they left, Statlander grabbed a mic and said that it would be a strap match and she didn’t know what was coming for her.
–Kyle Fletcher was backstage and talked about how Roderick Strong and Claudio Castagnoli jumped the line ahead of him. Kazuchika Okada walked up and said that he was there to support him, unlike Takeshita, and that Fletcher should make it clear that he is next in line for a title shot.
Scorpio Sky (w/ Christopher Daniels) vs. Kevin Knight (w/ Mike Bailey)
That fans really liked both guys here, showing a lot of love to both of them as the match started. Both men exchanged a series of basic holds, with neither being able to get the advantage, leading to a pose off. Knight ended up hitting a springboard kick that sent Sky flying backward off the apron onto the ramp and then bouncing to the floor. Knight hit a running dive over the top rope into a clothesline on the ramp.
When they came back from the break, Sky was getting his knees up on a Knight dive, leading to him hitting a Sky High for a 2-count. Knight countered an attack on the apron, but got countered himself on a springboard dive which Sky countered into a neckbreaker for a 2-count. Sky went for a fisherman’s buster, but Knight countered into a roll up, then there was a quick exchange of near falls that ended with Knight hitting a huge DDT on Sky for a 2-count.
Sky cut off Knight with a superplex when he went for a UFO splash, but Knight countered it into a pinfall attempt. Sky kicked out and went to the ropes, so Knight leapt up and hit a hurricanrana and then a springboard clothesline before hitting a UFO splash on Sky, who was halfway across the ring.
Result: Kevin Knight defeated Scorpio Sky
–Hook was cutting in a pretape cutting a promo about how a few weeks ago the Opps were on top of the world, holding the Trios and World title. Joe, being out injured, has decided to appoint Hook as the leader of the Opps until his return.
–As Mina Shirakawa made her entrance they showed her teaming with Viva Van at NJPW Windy City Riot in 2024, indicating that they had history. I like that little touch to an otherwise minor match.
Mina Shirakawa vs. Viva Van
Shirakawa attacked fast, hitting a sling blade and going for the Glamour Driver, but Van fought out and hit a series of hard strikes to send Shirakawa to the mat. After a short heat segment, Van got nailed with a spinning backfist from Shirakawa. Shirakawa dodged a pump kick while she was on the apron, grabbed the leg of Van, and drove the knee into the middle ropes.
Shirakawa attacked the knee repeatedly and went for the figure four leglock, kicking out of it and getting back up, hitting hard forearms. Van hit a koppu kick for a 2-count. Van tried to attack Shirakawa while she was on the ropes, but Shirakawa fought back, hit a sling blade off the ropes and hit a series of strikes before rolling through into a figure four leglock for the submission victory.
Result: Mina Shirakawa defeated Viva Van
More of a back and forth match here than I expected. There were some miscommunications, but in the end, it was a perfectly fine match.
–As Shirakawa was about to leave Marina Shafir made her entrance, staring directly at Mina Shirakawa. As we learned on Dynamite, Shafir said that she was the one sending roses to Shirakawa (I think?) and it seems we are building to match between to the two.
The Death Riders (Marina Shafir & Wheeler Yuta) (w/ Jon Moxley) vs. Sky Flight (Dante Martin & Zayda Steel) (w/ Christopher Daniels & Darius Martin)
Shafir immediately started throwing Steel around with ease until Shafir slipped out of a leg lock and locked on a sleeper hold. Shafir dumped Steel back to the mat and then kicked Martin, causing him to fall to the floor, and Jon Moxley cackled at the stiff kick on commentary.
Yuta tagged in and attacked Steel from behind the referee’s back, but Dante Martin hit a springboard clothesline to make the save. However, Martin was grounded by Yuta, and as they went to break in the US, Yuta screamed “Why don’t you get a haircut, kid?” to Martin, which Moxley agreed.
Yuta attacked Martin in the corner and the referee tried to break it, counting to four. Yuta loudly announced that “I have ’till 5!” like Bryan Danielson used to in ROH as a heel. As they came back Yuta was continuing the heat, gouging the eyes, and so on. Yuta charged Martin after he flipped out of a back suplex, and Martin used the bottom rope to launch himself into a high backflip that caused Yuta to miss and fly to the floor.
Martin tagged out to Steel, who hit a crossbody on Shafir after a few moves, but Shafir rolled through it, hit powerslam into uranage, and locked on Mother’s Milk for the submission win as Wheeler Yuta hit a Busaiku knee on Martin.
Result: The Death Riders defeated Sky Flight
–Yuta grabbed a pair of hair clippers and indicated that he was going to shave the head of Zayda Steel, which caused Orange Cassidy and Toni Storm to run down to the ring to make the save. Moxley indicated that he was afraid of Storm, as she was brandishing scissors.
–Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor were at a bar sharing drinks as a man walked up to them and tried to hit on them. They ignored him. He got more aggressive. They beat him up and smashed a glass over his head. They then ran out of the bar laughing as Hayter said she knew the name for their team now and a graphic flashed “The Brawling Birds.”
–A pretape video aired just after MJF lost his match against Brody King. MJF said that he hoped Hangman Adam Page won against Andrade el Idolo, because he hated Hangman. He called out Andrade, and said that he was going to beat him down too if he won. MJF said that King’s win over him was a fluke, and that since his back was against the wall, he was most dangerous, and he was going to show that Brody King was all bark. Excellent promo from MJF here.
Thekla (Skye Blue & Julia Hart) vs. Brittnie Brooks
Brooks makes her return after getting murdered by Toni Storm on Dynamite, so given this was a pretaped show, good to see that she did not die from that DDT that Storm gave her. Brooks was popular with the local crowd, getting chants. Thekla dropped her quickly, hit a spear, and pinned her.
Result: Thekla defeated Brittnie Brooks
–Hart and Blue immediately held Brooks down and Thekla started whipping her with her belt while signalling she was coming after Statlander.
–Jon Moxley was in a pretaped promo talking about how Takeshita beat Moxley in the C2, and Moxley promised that this time it was going to be different. Moxley said that Takeshita was not the same young kid he was years ago when he came to AEW, and that this time, it was going to be both of them at their best, and they were going to find out who was the real better man.
Eddie Kingston, Ortiz, & The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier, & Zachery Wentz) vs. Big Bill & Bryan Keith, & The Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake) in a Parking Lot Brawl
This match was as wild as one would expect, with tons of weapons and the Las Vegas skyline in the background. After Bill dominated the early part of the match, he threw Xavier over a limousine as they went to a break. James Drake was busted open quickly, and he brawled with Wentz. Ortiz was driven into the hood of a car by Gibson while Bill choked Wentz and Drake stepped on Kingston’s face. It wasn’t long after this that they cut to break on Fite as well.
When they came back from break Kingston was hitting everyone with a kendo stick until Big Bill cut him off. Wentz and Keith spilled out of the limo as it has suspicious smoke emitting from it, and then he called Keith a lightweight and kept beating on him. Apparently he had time in the middle of the fight with Keith to partake in recreation in between punches. Big Bill grabbed Wentz and chokeslammed him through the windshield of a car, while GYV hit a doomsday device on the pavement on Xavier.
Kingston came in with a large wooden pole and took out GYV before suplexing Big Bill on the limo with Ortiz and screaming “Oh, that sucked!” I’m guessing that bump hurt. All that was left was GYV and Kingston and Ortiz, who brawled until GYV hit low blows and started choking Kingston out with their scarfs. Ortiz, however, grabbed a cable of some sort and started choking out GYV. Isla Dawn ran in from behind a car and hit Ortiz with some drywall. Myron Reed came out of nowhere and hit a senton bomb on GYV and he took Dawn away and locked her in the trunk of a SUV. Ortiz powerbombed Drake on hood, while Kingston hit a DDT on Gibson for the pinfall victory.
Result: Eddie Kingston, Ortiz, & The Rascalz defeated Big Bill, Bryan Keith, & GYV
–Roderick Strong was backstage with Lexy Nair and said that he decided it was time for a change, and that is why he answered Tommaso Ciampa’s challenge. Mark Briscoe walked up and said that he believed in Strong, and that he thought Strong could win the TNT title tonight. He just asked that he get the first shot if Strong won, as a favour to his fellow Conglomerator. Strong said that he wasn’t in the Conglomeration and walked away.
Claudio Castagnoli vs. Roderick Strong vs. Tommaso Ciampa for the TNT Championship
Ciampa and Strong started the match driving Castagnoli to the floor. Ciampa and Strong started chopping each other like old times, and Ciampa sent Strong over the top rope into Castagnoli who caught him and dumped him onto the floor before entering the ring and exchanging strikes with Ciampa. As Ciampa hit the ropes, Strong came in with a Sick Kick that dropped Ciampa. Unfortunately he turned around into an attack from Castagnoli. After an exchange that saw all 3 men exchange moves, Ciampa hit a combo flatliner and Scorpion Death Drop on both Castagnoli and Strong.
Castagnoli and Ciampa began exchanging hard strikes to the delight of the crowd before Castagnoli tried to suplex both Strong and Ciampa at the same time, but they were too much and countered into a double suplex on Castagnoli. Strong and Ciampa resumed exchanging hard strikes, but as Castagnoli pulled Ciampa from the apron, Strong flew through the middle ropes with a dropkick on Castagnoli and suddenly all three men were brawling around ringside.
Castagnoli blocked a back suplex on the guardrail and hit a face first suplex on Strong onto the rails. He then ran towards Ciampa, who hit a drop toe hold on Castagnoli that sent him crashing face first into the guardrail. Ciampa then decided to charge Castagnoli, but he grabbed Ciampa and hit a gorilla press onto the announce table that dropped Ciampa. Castagnoli dumped Strong over the guardrail into the crowd, sent Ciampa back into the ring, hit a double stomp on Strong over the rail, and the started working the neck of Ciampa in the ring.
Castagnoli tried to hit a vertical superplex from the apron, but Ciampa fought out while being held over the ring and Strong came in, hit a back suplex on Castagnoli, and a backbreaker on Ciampa before transitioning to the Stronghold. Strong ate a Yakuza kick from Castagnoli while holding onto the submission, and Strong spit on Castagnoli before Castagnoli dropped him.
Castagnoli soon faced a double team attempt from Strong and Ciampa, but he suplexed both men again in a call back to an earlier spot in this match. Ciampa hit a DDT on Castagnoli as he was coming back into the ring through the ropes and hit Angel’s Wings for a 2-count. Ciampa went for a running knee strike, but Castagnoli blocked it, and did a giant swing on Ciampa. Strong hit a sick kick on Ciampa as he was spinning. Strong then tried to hit a flying knee on Castagnoli, who caught Strong, launched him into the air and hit a giant pop up European uppercut. Strong, however, fired back with two flying knees, the second of which knocked him out like it did in the C2 Tournament at the end of 2025. As Strong was about to pin Castagnoli, Ciampa flew in with a knee strike of his own and knocked Strong out for the pinfall victory.
Result: Tommaso Ciampa defeated Roderick Strong & Claudio Castagnoli
This match ruled. Excellent match from all three guys here, who are still working at the highest level. It is amazing how consistent these guys have been for nearly 20 years now, but they continue to impress, and Ciampa is the man.
–Kyle Fletcher came out as Ciampa was celebrating, grabbed the TNT title and slowly handed it back to Ciampa. Fletcher said that he wanted to walk into his home country in Sydney, Australia next week with a hero’s welcome, and he challenged Ciampa to a match for the TNT Championship on Dynamite next week so that he can enter AEW Grand Slam Australia next Saturday as champion. Dynamite and AEW Grand Slam are shaping up to be huge shows next week, and I’m really looking forward to seeing both.
Final Thoughts
Excellent episode of AEW Collision, as AEW television continues to be on a roll since the C2 with some tremendous storytelling and setting up big shows down the line. AEW is effectively building to Dynamite next week, Grand Slam on Saturday, and AEW Revolution in March. That is a hard thing to do to build three shows at once, but they have done an excellent job lately.
