AEW sets date & location for FTR Tag Team title defense
FTR will defend their AEW World Tag Team titles against Jake Doyle and Mark Davis later this month.
At last week’s AEW Dynamite Maximum Carnage, Doyle and Davis emerged victorious in a four-way tag team match to determine the next challengers to the titles followed by a brawl between both teams.
On Tuesday, the date and venue was announced: the January 28th edition of Dynamite in Austin, Texas, at the H-E-B Center. It’s the first match announced for the show.
It was Doyle’s first match on Dynamite after signing with the company following a multi-year TNA run. He and Davis are part of the ever-growing Don Callis Family.
FTR is in their third reign as champions and will be looking for their third title defense since regaining the belts at last November’s Full Gear. Davis and Doyle will both be looking for their first AEW gold.
