AEW Dynamite draws best 18-49 demo rating since Grand Slam

With the episode headlined by Samoa Joe vs. Hook, AEW Dynamite showed strong ratings growth on Wednesday night.

The episode averaged 891,000 viewers on TBS, up 12 percent from the 797,000 viewers Dynamite drew last week. This is Dynamite’s best audience total since October 18.

In the 18-49 demo, Dynamite drew a 0.33 rating. That’s up 14 percent from last week’s 0.29 rating. It’s the best number Dynamite has done in the demo since its Grand Slam episode that took place on September 20.

Dynamite was the top rated show on cable in the 18-49 demo on Wednesday.

Joe retained his AEW World Championship against Hook in Wednesday night’s main event. The match aired commercial-free.

As compared to one year ago, Dynamite was down eight percent in viewership but up 6.45 percent in the 18-49 demo.

On Thursday afternoon, Tony Khan sent out a tweet celebrating the Dynamite rating. He thanked AEW’s fans, wrestlers, and staff.

Khan also made a post teasing that 2024 is going to be amazing for AEW.
