AEW Dynamite ratings up for Double or Nothing go-home show

The episode finished sixth on cable behind NBA and NHL playoff coverage.

Wednesday's Double or Nothing go-home edition of AEW Dynamite averaged 929,000 viewers on TBS, up 0.8 percent from last week. It's the best audience for the show since April 20.

Dynamite finished sixth on the cable charts in the 18-49 demo, drawing a 0.35 rating in that category. That's up 6.1 percent from last week and is also the best number for the show since April 20.

NBA and NHL playoff coverage dominated the cable charts on Wednesday. ESPN averaged 6.4 million viewers (2.25 rating in 18-49) for the Boston Celtics vs. Miami Heat NBA Eastern Conference Finals game, and TNT averaged 1.4 million viewers (0.47 rating in 18-49) for the Colorado Avalanche vs. St. Louis Blues NHL playoff game. Dynamite was the top show on cable not related to either of those games.

Dynamite did really well with women as women 18-49 were up 26.4 percent and females 12-34 were up 30.8 percent. Males in those categories were down 4.3 percent and 13 percent respectively. There was also a 5.3 percent drop with people over 50.

As compared to the same week in 2021 when the show was moved to a Saturday night, Dynamite's overall audience was up 76.6 percent and its 18-49 rating was up 75 percent.

This week's show was down 1.5 percent in overall viewers and down 5.7 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages in both categories.

AEW ratings
