AEW Dynamite video highlights: Allin vs. Cage TNT title match
Darby Allin made his first defense of the TNT Championship last night, defeating Brian Cage in the main event of AEW Dynamite New Year’s Smash night two.
Allin hit a Coffin Drop on the ring steps, then used an assist from Sting in eliminating an interfering Ricky Starks to beat Cage with a crucifix bomb to retain the TNT title.
In the evening’s other title bout, Serena Deeb defeated a game Tay Conti to retain the NWA World Women’s Championship.
Cody Rhodes appeared on The Waiting Room with Dr. Britt Baker, but before Rhodes could speak, Jade Cargill made her return to Dynamite, threatened Brandi Rhodes, then brawled with Red Velvet.
The Good Brothers made their AEW in-ring debut, teaming with AEW World Champion Kenny Omega in a winning effort against Griff Garrison, Brian Pillman Jr. & Danny Limelight.
In other action, Miro defeated Chuck Taylor, meaning Taylor must serve as Miro’s butler until Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford’s wedding, FTR defeated Jurassic Express, and PAC defeated Eddie Kingston in the show’s opener.
