AEW notes: Chris Van Vliet joins broadcast team, Britt Baker update

– Chris Van Vliet has joined AEW’s broadcast team as a backstage interviewer.

“I’m honored to announce that I am officially joining @allelitewrestling on October 2 for the first show on TNT,” Van Vliet wrote. “As a lifelong wrestling fan, this is a dream come true to mix my passion for broadcasting and pro wrestling as a backstage interviewer for AEW!”

Van Vliet is an entertainment reporter who has been working for “Deco Drive” on WSVN 7 in Miami, Florida. He regularly interviews wrestlers on his YouTube channel.

Van Vliet appeared on last week’s Road to All Out episode, hosting the Control Center segment.

– On today’s Being the Elite, Britt Baker answered a fan question about the concussion she suffered at Fight for the Fallen. Baker said it was a rough couple of weeks at first, but she’s feeling fantastic and everything is looking good. She said she’s hoping to be cleared to return any day now.

When asked if she’ll be booked for All Out on August 31, Baker teased that we’ll have to wait and see.

Baker suffered the concussion while teaming with Riho against Shoko Nakajima & Bea Priestley on the Fight for the Fallen pre-show on July 13.
