AEW Rampage ratings drop for late night episode

Friday’s AEW Rampage, which did not air until almost midnight on the East Coast due to NCAA men’s basketball tournament coverage, averaged 398,000 viewers on TNT. That’s down 24.3 percent from the prior week and is the lowest audience in the history of the show.

Rampage also drew a record-low rating of 0.13 in the 18-49 demo, down 40.9 percent from the previous week. It’s 24 percent lower than Rampage’s previous record low set on October 8 of last year.

Rampage finished 57th on the cable charts with news and the NCAA tournament dominating the ratings.

The number can pretty much be thrown out due to the late broadcast. It was thought that the audience of Rampage could potentially benefit from the strong lead-in of the tournament, but that obviously was not the case.

As compared to the 10-week averages prior to this week, as shown in the chart below, Rampage was down 26.5 percent in viewership and down 38.1 percent in the key demo.
