AEW referee Aubrey Edwards set for CMLL debut appearance

AEW referee Aubrey Edwards is in Mexico to make her first-ever appearance for CMLL.

At Arena Mexico tonight (October 25), CMLL is holding its 2024 Grand Prix de Amazonas. AEW wrestlers Willow Nightingale and Red Velvet are taking part in the match — and it was revealed this afternoon that Edwards will also be appearing as one of the referees.

Edwards sent out a message on social media thanking CMLL for the invitation:

The Grand Prix elimination match features Team Mexico and Team World with the last remaining person being declared the Grand Prix winner. It will be Amapola, Dark Silueta, Hera, Kira, Lluvia, Princesa Sugehit, Reyna Isis, Sanely, Skadi & Zeuxis vs. Nightingale, Velvet, Alex Windsor, La Catalina, Persephone, Samantha Black, Sumika Yanagawa, Tessa Blanchard, Unagi Sayaka & Viva Van.

Blanchard is looking to repeat as the women’s Grand Prix winner. AEW star Claudio Castagnoli was the winner of the men’s Grand Prix this year.
