AEW Collision live results: Mistico & JetSpeed vs. The Dogs
AEW Collision tonight is the go-home show for tomorrow’s Dynasty pay-per-view.
Two title matches are scheduled for the show with Kazuchika Okada defending the International title against Myron Reed and Mistico & JetSpeed defending the World Trios titles against The Dogs. Also, The Young Bucks take on The Don Callis Family’s El Clon and Hechicero as they prepare to wrestle Okada and Konosuke Takeshita at Dynasty.

The Dogs (David Finlay, Clark Connors, & Gabe Kidd) vs. Mistico & Jet Speed (Kevin Knight & Mike Bailey) for the AEW World Trios Championship
The Dogs attacked the champions immediately, and Gabe Kidd mocked Mike Bailey, who responded with a hurricanrana, but as he went to dive to the floor, Clark Connors attacked from behind. Connors and Knight started to exchange move attempts, but after several counters, Connors went to the floor. David Finlay and Mistico faced off, but Finlay was caught, and Connors came back in, but ate a hurricanrana from Mistico. Gabe Kidd and Mistico then started fighting in the middle of the ring, and everyone came in and started fighting.
I am guessing this match is going with lucha style rules based on the fact that there have been zero tags as of yet. Mistico hit a pescado on Finlay on the floor, and the action continued around ringside with some brawling, which Mistico shockingly embraced, biting Finlay and hitting Finlay with several hard strikes. The champions all went back to the ring and tried for stereo dives, but The Dogs pulled Bailey and Mistico from the ring, and Connors attacked King before he could dive. Kidd slammed Bailey on the floor, and they went to commercial break.
As we came back, Kevin Knight was escaping the heel beatdown and Mistico came in with the hot tag, running wild and taking everyone down, ending with hitting Clark Connors with a flying armdrag. All three of the champs hit stereo tope suicidas to the floor on The Dogs. This did not last long for an advantage as Finlay hit a Dominator on Knight which led to Connors spearing him, but Bailey broke up the pinfall attempt. Bailey ran wild and took everyone out, allowing Mistico to hit La Mistica on Connors. Knight went for the UFO splash on Finlay, but Finlay got the knees up.
Gabe Kidd ran in and broke up the submission on Connors and hit a piledriver on Kidd, but as he went for another one, Mike Bailey hit Ultima Weapon on Kidd, and after exchanging some strikes, he was able to get a close pinfall attempt on Kidd, but it was broken up. Connors hit Bailey with a spear and Kidd took off Knight’s head with lariat. Kidd hit a piledriver on Bailey and sent him back into a suplex by Finlay, who picked up Bailey and Connors flew off the ropes with a spear on the elevated Bailey for the pinfall win!
Result: The Dogs defeated Mistico & Jet Speed for the AEW World Trios Championship
–Roderick Strong and Orange Cassidy were backstage, and interrupted the celebration saying that they knew they were down a man, but that they had a tag partner and were going to face The Dogs at AEW Dynasty. Orange Cassidy was on the phone with said partner, but forgot to ask him to be a part of the match. He walked away calling him back.
–The United Empire were backstage and Ospreay said that while Death Riders had the numbers up until that point, but Ospreay called his brothers, Francisco Akira, Henrae, and his little brother Callum Newman, the youngest IWGP Heavyweight Champion in history, will be there to back Ospreay up. Newman confirmed that while the Empire may have differences every now and then, they absolutely would be there to backup Ospreay. I think The United Empire is turning on Ospreay at AEW Dynasty.
–Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander were backstage, and Shida talked about teaming with Statlander, noting that her and Statlander went back to the very start of AEW and since Statlander refused to team with Cameron, Shida would be her partner.
Kris Statlander & Hikaru Shida vs. Ava Lawless & Gigi Ray
Hikaru Shida started aggressively attacking Lawless at the start of the match, but Statlander blind tagged in, and Shida looked like her thunder was stolen. Statlander hit Staturday Night Fever on Ray, and pinned her, but Shida did not look happy.
–Shida looked like she was going to attack Statlander from behind, but as Statlander turned, Shida smiled and hugged her.
-A hype video for Hyan and Maya World aired. It seems them choosing to do business is working out well for them.
