Kenny Omega vs. Bad Dude Tito (w/ Mikey Nicholls)

AEW Collision starts hot with Kenny Omega facing Bad Dude Tito, a member of The Mighty Don’t Kneel (TMDK), who was sent oin behalf of Zack Sabre Jr. Tito offered a handshake to Omega, and Omega took it, but Tito hit a cheap shot and started beating on Omega with his powerful offence. Omega, however, turns it around with a pescado. Omega tried to suplex Tito on the floor, but Tito countered into a suplex of his own and Omega crashed into the mats.

Tito hit an exploder suplex back in the ring for a 2-count. Omega countered Tito and went for You Cant’ Escape, but Tito did escape by getting his knees up on the moonsault. Tito picked Omega up in a fireman’s carry, but Omega slipped out and tried for a dragon suplex, but Tito blocked that and hit some hard chops. Omega then countered a charge with a V-Trigger and hit a snap dragon suplex for a 2-count. Omega nailed a V-Trigger on Tito and then hit the One Winged Angel for the pinfall.

Result: Kenny Omega defeated Big Dude Tito

A nice little squash match here where Tito got just enough offence to keep it interesting while Omega still won decisively.

–Kenny Omega grabbed a mic and said that he has been trying to figure out what he was going to do next to get back to the top of AEW. He missed the Owen, but he was presented with an opportunity with Zack Sabre Jr. Omega said that he knew that not everyone knew who Sabre was, but he was one of the few wrestlers in the world that could be mentioned in the same sentence as Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinness as the best technical wrestlers in the world. While Sabre is the best technical wrestler in the world, Omega was once called the best in the world, and he was going to prove why against ZSJ and go after MJF for the AEW World Championship after that. Very simple and good promo here that introduced the AEW audience to Sabre.

–Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis were backstage and Fletcher said that he was tired of Takeshita talking about them, and he was going to take the AEW International Championship from him. Okada walked up and agreed with Fletcher, but clearly implied that he was the one to take the title from Takeshita. They shook hands and agreed that they would take the title from him as Protokada.

Hikaru Shida vs. Zayda Steel in a Survival of the Fittest Qualifying Match

Shida and Steel started exchanging punches right away, but it only took a brief lapse in concentration and Shida dropped Steel. Shida blocked an armdrag and yanked the hair of Steel. Steel did not take this lying down, hitting a snapmare and a dropkick. Steel went to hit a baseball slide, but Shida caught her feet and then hit a running knee to Steel before choking her out with her own arm as she was draped on the apron before going to an ad break on TNT.

They came back with Shida beating on Steel in the middle of the ring. Steel hit a Thesz press on Shida (sort of) and did an O’Connor roll for a 2-count. Steel hit an enziguri and Shida bailed to the floor. Steel hit a top suicida and got a 2-count with Shida back in the ring. Steel hit the ropes and Shida hit a flying knee that dropped Steel. Shida hit a kick on Steel and went for a lariat, but Steel locked on a standing Koji Clutch, but Shida raked the eyes. Shida picked Steel up, but Steel countered with a forward roll and Shida kicked out at two. Shida made her pay with running knee and then hit a falcon arrow of sorts and then a sort of calf killer and Steel tapped out. That submission did not look good.

Result: Hikaru Shida defeated Zayda Steel

This match wasn’t too bad, but it was clear Steel is still quite green. Shida winning here was the right call for now. Steel will benefit from working with experienced people like Shida, so this was a good chance for her to improve in a match that was long enough for her to learn some new things.

–The Opps were backstage and while Lexy Nair noted that Joe wasn’t there, Anthony Bowens said that they didn’t need to worry about that because Samoa Joe taught Bowens how to embrace violence. Bowens said that they deserved applause, and Hook said that they weren’t about applause, and he and Shibata were there from the beginning, and they needed to be about violence. He reminded Bowens that he wasn’t their leader, and said Lexy Nair should interview him if he wanted to talk to the Opps. I liked this segment. Hook and Bowens were both good.

The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz & Dezmond Xavier) vs. Aaron & Austin Atlas

The Rascalz struck quickly in this match hitting a series of fast movies on both Atlas’s before they hit Hot Fire Flame for the win.

Result: The Rascalz defeated Aaron & Austin Atlas

–Wentz and Xavier grabbed a mic and said that their group was one of the hottest trios in AEW, and it was only fair that the audience saw Myron Reed, their third member, as he became TNT Champion.

Kevin Knight (w/ Don Callis) vs. Myron Reed for the TNT Championship

Knight and Reed exchanged a lot of holds with counters to begin, as Tony Schiavone questioned why Kevin Knight was with Don Callis. Callis pointed out that Kenny Omega won his only AEW World Championship because he was with Callis and his record since there wasn’t very good. If that isn’t a hint for what is going to happen at AEW Redemption, I don’t know what is

Reed hit an incredible monkey flip on Knight (really, you have to see how he did it. It was very cool). Knight went for a dive on Reed, but Reed countered right into a cutter across the ropes and then hit a dropkick for a 2-count on Knight. Reed rolled up Knight as they came back from break for a 2-count. Reed hit a superkick and then a catapult back suplex that sent Knight crashing into the middle of the ring. Reed and Knight both went for big boots and Reed got the better of it and then hit a superkick and a flatliner for a 2-count.

Knight hit a hurricanrana on Reed from the ropes and went for the UFO splash, but Reed cut him off and went for a suplex. Knight fought him off and shoved him onto the entrance ramp, which was right up against the ring. Reed countered a suplex into the ring with a stundog millionaire across the ropes on Knight before running down the ramp, jumping over the ropes and hitting a cutter in the middle of the ring. Reed then hit a cutter over the top rope and off the apron on Knight before sending Knight back into the ring and hitting a 450 splash for a 2-count when Knight got his foot on the rope. Reed sent Knight to the ropes but Knight went for a springboard, but Reed ducked under and went for a cutter. Knight responded with a dropkick to the back of Reed’s neck and then hit a super uranage for the pinfall.

Result: Kevin Knight defeated Myron Reed

This match was awesome. Reed and Knight had great chemistry, and Knight continues to heat up as a heel.

–Divine Dominion had a hype video showing their defeat of several teams.
