AEW Dynamite comes on the air with Excalibur welcoming us alongside a returning Taz as they throw it to the ring where Tony Schiavone introduces AEW Men’s World Champion, MJF, to the ring.

Another Shark Circles the AEW World Champion

MJF immediately told Schiavone to shut his triple chin mouth and ran down the crowd before saying they’re looking at a man who wears beautiful watches, custom suits, rides in helicopters and limousines and has the baddest girl you’ve ever seen. It’s because he’s the best wrestler on God’s Green Earth and it’s because of the Triple B, real gold, diamonds and platinum, costing more than all the losers in attendance have in their bank account. If you see anyone else not named MJF claiming they’re the best of the best, change the channel, the same thing coming out of their mouth is the same thing coming out of their ass. Last week, Bandido was the first of many losers to find out the hard way that 2026 is the Year of the Devil and no one is on his level.

Brody King’s music hits to a strong ovation as he makes his way to the ring, towering over MJF, as Schiavone wisely bails. King said after what MJF did to Bandido, the only thing he can think of is all the ways he wants to hurt him. King wants to rip out MJF’s spine, but, he’s not going to do that (MJF took a big sigh of relief) because MJF is just a b*tch. If King puts his hands on MJF, he won’t get what he wants, which is a match. King wants a match tonight, but MJF said it was an interesting proposition, asking for complete silence to think about it.

Crowd boos on cue, MJF said no, it’s not because he’s afraid, but he gets it, King barks and the morons bark back. When MJF thinks of King, one phrase comes to mind, all bark, no bite. On what ground does King think he deserves a shot after beating jobbers the past few weeks. Until he beats elite talent, the match won’t take place. Making one thing clear, if King ever interrupts the champ ever again, we’re going to have a prob…King barks and MJF quickly high tails it from the ring and up the ramp, ordering they hit his music, not the one who barks.

-Video package of Hangman Adam Page, Swerve Strickland & Kenny Omega all making their claims known of wanting the AEW World Title back. Page promised to take everything from Samoa Joe and we see Page & JetSpeed defeating The Opps on Collision to win the Trios Titles.

Backstage, Renee Paquette is with the new Trios Champions and Page said tonight is a night for celebration and they should decide on a team name. Knight suggests Jet Set Rodeo, Bailey tried his hardest to say Horse C*ck, but was cut off by Page, who said he tried that name before and it didn’t work. Page makes a match between Katsuyori Shibata & himself on Collision and said JetSpeed has a big night ahead of them. Bailey told Knight to focus on Swerve Strickland and he’ll focus on Samoa Joe. Page told Bailey he can beat Joe if he puts his mind to it. Knight wanted some advice, but Page thought about it and just said it’ll be a hell of a main event.

Samoa Joe vs. AEW Trios Champion Speedball Mike Bailey

(Very much enjoyed commentary putting over Bailey’s big wins in the C2 as a way to build to a possible huge upset here against a former AEW World Champion. Aside from the crazy amount of interference, I enjoyed the match itself, as the crowd were loudly behind Bailey (who got the chant he asked for on his Vlog this past week), while Joe sold a lot. I know why Kevin Knight didn’t show up, as he’s presumably preparing for his main event tonight, but why was there no Hangman Page out there to help Bailey? The Opps interfered so much, you’d think Bailey would have at least a little assistance, even if Joe took the W.)

Joe used his power in the early going, but Bailey was right there to counter with running boots to the face. Lighting up Joe with a series of kicks, a dropkick sent Joe reeling outside, where Bailey tried a baseball slide, was caught and in the process, had the life chopped out of him. Joe wanted the Ole Ole Kick against the barricade, but Bailey exploded up with a leaping kick. Back inside, Bailey got the baseball slide and followed with a massive Asai Moonsault. HOOK & Katsuyori Shibata made their way down the ramp and ran distraction enough for Joe to clock Bailey with a boot, giving The Opps a chance to mug him ringside as Joe distracted Paul Turner.

Joe controlled the entire break, but Bailey mounted a comeback right as things returned, connecting on a big missile dropkick for the reset. Series of kicks drops Joe, who avoids the running Shooting Star, but Bailey avoided a running senton. Bailey quickly went up top and hit the Shooting Star Press, but Joe kicked out. Both fought out to the apron, where Joe had his legs swept out, but had Bailey crash and burn with a moonsault double knees. Joe again took the ref, allowing Shibata to hit a suplex on the apron, held on and another on the floor before throwing Bailey back inside, where Joe mocked the crowd. Joe crossed Bailey’s knees and dropped down into an innovative knee breaker before locking in a heel hook. Bailey fought to the ropes, as Joe continues toying with him, as Bailey lit up the bad leg with kicks of his own.

Crowd try to get Bailey going with a Let’s Go Horse C*ck chant (that’s a sentence I just typed), as Joe sank in another submission, but once more, Bailey made the ropes. Joe kicked out Bailey’s leg and it led to Bailey right in Crane Kick position, as he clobbered Joe with the kick and Buzzsaw Kick for two. Bailey hit the Time Adventure in the corner, wanted Ultimate Weapon, but landed on his feet, selling the bad leg. Coquina Clutch applied, Bailey tried to kick from the corner and get a flash pin, but Joe kicked out. Bailey hit a spin kick, went up top, HOOK took the ref, allowing Shibata to go after Bailey in the ropes and Joe to plant him with a Muscle Buster and get the win. Post-match, MJF looked on backstage, as The Opps stood tall in the ring.

Match Result: Samoa Joe defeated Speedball Mike Bailey

Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Daniel Garcia & Wheeler Yuta) vs. The Don Callis Family (Hechicero, Lance Archer & Rocky Romero) in a Street Fight

(While we all know Moxley has been a babyface for a while, this was a good way to get the crowd to start supporting the rest of the Death Riders, by putting them against the hated Callis crew. It wouldn’t be a Street Fight if Moxley didn’t take some sort of gnarly bump and this was no different. I liked that Garcia was the one to get the W for his team, as it does feel like he & Yuta have been the Death Riders lackey’s the past few months. We can assume Moxley was talking to Callis about Okada in the post-match, but there’s like 47 members of The Callis Family, so it could be anyone, really.)

Callis joins commentary and says he knows a sociopath when he sees one and Moxley is exactly that. The Family brought weapons out for their entrance, but Moxley bolted up at Archer and the brawl was on immediately into the crowd, while Yuta & Romero and Garcia & Hechicero are paired off ringside. Garcia placed a trash can on Hechicero’s leg and stomped it repeatedly before applying an ankle lock (it looked like Hechicero tapped right away, the ref didn’t call anything, but Taz did bring it up). Back to the ring, Death Riders hit their locomotion corner clotheslines, as we’re reminded it’s not Falls Count Anywhere, the finish has to happen in the ring, thus explaining why the Hechicero tap didn’t count. Tope by Yuta hit Archer, but the big man still grabbed Yuta and choke slammed him through the time keeper’s table. The Callis Family starts taking over into commercial.

It’s a handicap match when we return, as Yuta is still motionless on the floor, as Hechicero & Romero hit a double dropkick with a trash can over the head of Garcia, who Callis called a disingenuous punk. Moxley fought off all three briefly, until the numbers became too much. With a trash can placed on him in the corner, The Callis Family start doing Hechicero’s magic pose, but it allows Moxley to fire up, until he’s flattened by an Archer running cross body. Archer places a table in the ring, but Marina Shafir steps in and shows no fear facing off with Archer, who tries a chokeslam, but Shafir applies a choke. Shafir picked the ankle, allowing Moxley to leap in with a Cutter. Archer side-stepped a charging Moxley, who put on the brakes, only to be driven through the table by Archer.

Garcia returns and for some reason tries a choke slam on Archer, who no sells, charges, Garcia moves and Archer eats a Busiaku Knee from Yuta and leg sweep from Garcia. Romero & Hechicero return with a double Octopus Stretch on Garcia & Yuta, who escape into an Ankle Lock and Abdominal Stretch. Yuta & Garcia sent outside, but Moxley was there to spike Hechicero & Romero with a double DDT. Moxley quickly throws in a barbed wire board covered in broken glass. Romero applies a guillotine on Moxley, who tried a suplex, Romero kneed out, allowing Archer to hit a huge chokeslam onto the barbed wire, glass and also tacks.

Archer wiped out Yuta & Garcia with a cannonball off the apron before bringing Yuta up the ramp. Wanting a chokeslam off the stage, PAC appears on a crutch from last week’s match with Darby Allin, smacks Archer with a crutch, as Claudio Castagnoli sprints in with a crutch shot off the ramp. Slamming Archer into an electrical box, which caused pyro to go off, Hechicero tries to make the save, but Shafir caught him with a low blow and Yuta flew in with another Busiaku Knee. In the ring, Moxley had Romero trapped in a Bulldog Choke, but Romero rolls out, only for Garcia to meet him with a Piledriver and the Dragon Tamer and the same time Moxley takes him out for good with a Curb Stomp.

Post-match, Moxley, back bleeding, stands by Callis on commentary, as Shafir holds a mic up to him. Moxley said for Callis to tell his boy he knows where to find him. Moxley, back still full of tacks, walks back through the crowd, with the rest of the Death Riders in tow.

Match Result: Death Riders defeated The Don Callis Family when Garcia submitted Romero

-Thekla is backstage with the Sisters of Sin and talk about the challengers previously for Kris Statlander, but questions what Thekla wants to do about it after she pinned her last week. Thekla will give Statlander one week to spend with her title and loved ones before taking it from her next week. Skye Blue said there’s always room for more, as Julia Hart challenges Willow Nightingale for the TBS Title this Saturday. Blue said it’s the Year of Toxic, as Thekla said if you like the taste of toxic, drown in it, before spitting at the camera.

AEW Tag Team Champions FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) vs. Jordan Oliver & Alec Price

(This could rank right up there with one of the best sprints ever on Dynamite. A one segment, action packed, never slowed down match, where Price & Oliver got plenty of time to shine in their debut. Despite that, FTR still overcame the fast-paced onslaught and were able to stand tall before their title match with Davis & Doyle next week. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Oliver & Price in AEW.)

After Price & Oliver’s entrance, Stokely is seated by commentary and said they picked a bad time for their AEW debut. Stokely also asked for everyone to visit HelpBigStoke.com and donate to his “injuries”, which Schiavone called a complete fraud. Excalibur put over Oliver & Price’s accomplishments on the independent scene, while Schiavone talked about knowing Oliver since he was 19. Quick start from Wheeler & Oliver, who countered a cross body into an inside cradle for two. Multiple float overs in the corner led to a series of dropkicks on both FTR, forcing the to regroup. Oliver & Price hit double Tope Suicidas, as on the opposite side, Price cleared the top with a huge dive.

Back inside, Wheeler ate a big double stomp off the top by Oliver, as Price made the tag, only to be turned inside out with a lariat, leading to FTR keeping Price isolated. This was brief, as Oliver made a tag and sent FTR reeling with the speed of offense, until Harwood fired off a series of jabs and lariat that turned Oliver inside out. Harwood lit up Oliver with chop after chop in the corner, as FTR wanted a Power-Plex, but Price hit a springboard hurricanrana on Wheeler before he could leap for the splash. Oliver collapsed onto Harwood trying a superplex and got a close two. Price & Wheeler fought on the apron briefly, as Oliver was sent outside by Harwood. Price missed a springboard, Harwood caught a kick, flipped him over to his feet and planted him with Shatter Machine for the win.

Match Result: FTR defeated Jordan Oliver & Alec Price when Harwood pinned Price

-Kris Statlander & Babes of Wrath are backstage with Statlander calling herself a cosmic killer and said if Thekla wants to drown her in toxic, she’ll take her down with her. Statlander said on Collision, if anyone wants an Eliminator Match, she’ll show you what she means. Nightingale said the TBS Title is about silencing doubt, so if Julia Hart wants a match, she’ll be happy to. Cameron said she’ll also be there and didn’t think of anything else to say other than she’ll punch Skye Blue in the face. Statlander said they’re going to have some fun.

Kenny Omega vs. Josh Alexander (w/Don Callis)

(Another really strong first-time match tonight, as I know this was a dream match Alexander said he wanted and this certainly delivered. A great way to get Omega back into the singles ranks on his quest to the AEW Title once more. I would love to see this match again down the line, perhaps if/when Omega is World Champion?)

Alexander & Callis attacked Omega during his entrance, slamming him into the ring steps before exposing the ringside area. Omega fought back and hit a suplex before following up with a slingshot cross body. Both back inside and the match officially begins, with Omega hitting his running face palm slam for two, as a standing hurricanrana sent Alexander back outside. Omega wanted a Terminator Dive, but was cut-off, with Alexander side stepping and flattening Omega with a Worlds Strongest Slam on the apron.

It was all Alexander during commercial, as back from break, Alexander hit a somersault fireman’s carry out of the corner. They go to the floor, where Alexander wanted a bodyslam onto the exposed floor, but Omega slid out, posted Alexander and hit a Snap Dragon on the concrete. Crowd got behind Omega for his Terminator Dive, but in doing so, Omega’s lower back smacked on the exposed concrete. Regardless, Omega quickly brought Alexander back inside and hit the corner missile dropkick to the neck and Aoi Shoudou before signaling for V-Trigger, but Alexander was there with an enzugiri. Alexander wanted a suplex, but Omega fell over the top, held on and both crashed hard. Callis asked if Omega was ok, which oddly sounded sincere, as both slowly got up and traded forearms, slaps and jabs until Alexander went to the eyes. Omega responded by repeatedly slamming Alexander’s face into the commentary table before chasing Callis into the crowd.

That delay allowed Alexander to grab an Ankle Lock and smash the ankle into the apron before hitting a Dragon Screw through the ropes and his running cross body to the back, as Callis returned safely to commentary, hugging Alexander, telling him to bring it home to daddy. That delay gave Omega a chance to fire off a massive V-Trigger when he returned to the ring and powerbomb to follow, as the One-Winged Angel put Alexander away. MJF again was shown watching backstage in the post-match.

Omega took the mic and said Callis struck while the iron was hot, while he wasn’t 100%, but he’s happy to report in his new home of Orlando, this is as good as Omega has felt in years. There’s not a member of the Callis Family who can beat him, so Callis can try to beat him now or lick his wounds and wait until Omega is World Champion. Omega hit his go-home Good-bye and Goodnight line before posing for photos with fans ringside.

Match Result: Kenny Omega defeated Josh Alexander

-Technique by Taz segment returns, as he broke down how MJF was able to successfully defend the AEW World Title against Bandido last week.

Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford vs. Timeless Love Bombs (Timeless Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa w/Luther)

(I said earlier in the night that the Death Riders feuding with the Callis Family will make them babyfaces, well, almost all of them, as I was reminded Marina Shafir is still strongly feuding with Toni Storm. This could be seen as an upset, as it was Ford who got the pin, so I could certainly see a tag title shot in the future for her & the Megasus. I also hope Shirakawa is ok after taking a pretty nasty fall early in the match, as she seemed to recover well.)

I know she returned to action on Collision last week, but it’s great to see Ford back in the ring, as Excalibur reminded us her initial diagnosis with her arm injury thought it’d put her out for most of 2026. Ford & Bayne attacked immediately, but Shirakawa & Storm did a do-si-do into a double clothesline before the assisted Tornillo bodyslam saw Bayne kick out at one. Fast double team offense from the Love Bombs, as Shirakawa hit her proper Tornillo for a two this time. Bayne used her power to deck Shirakawa with a clothesline and fall away slam on Storm to the outside. Bayne hoisted up Shirakawa and tried to launch her to the floor onto Storm, but completely cleared Storm and Shirakawa went thud, as the crowd was quiet briefly. As Storm quickly checked on her partner, Bayne grabbed her partner and did the same thing to Ford, this time hitting her mark and taking out Storm & Shirakawa into break.

We return with Bayne staring down Storm on the apron with Storm saying she hates Bayne. That distraction allowed Shirakawa to hit a corner kick and shotgun dropkick, as that gave Storm a chance to make the hot tag. Dropkicks and hair-mares aplenty for Ford, who was folded up with a snap German and Sweet Cheek Music to follow. Shirakawa went up for her Sling Blade, but Bayne made the save, only to be low bridged by Storm. After a Mongolian Chop from Storm, the Love Bombs sent Bayne & Ford flying with double hip attacks before an assisted dive by Shirakawa took out the pile. Ford was returned, where Storm set her up for a Shirakawa Sling Blade off the top for two, as Bayne broke the count, chucking Storm outside to follow. Ford clipped Shirakawa in the back, giving Bayne a chance to connect with a flying boot. Bayne chucked Ford into Shirakawa with a Cutter, but this time, Storm broke the count.

Match breaks down, as everyone trades shots, including Storm spiking Storm with a DDT, Ford hitting Storm with a Cutter, Shirakawa took out Ford with a Spinning Back Fist and wanted the Figure Four, but took too long, as Bayne flew in with a lariat. Bayne placed Shirakawa on her shoulders, as Ford hit the Doomsday Device and made the cover. Marina Shafir jumped over the barricade and pulled Storm into Mothers Milk, as Ford pinned Shirakawa to get the win. Shafir came to the ring and posed with Ford & Bayne, flipping the crowd off.

Match Result: Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford defeated Timeless Love Bombs when Ford pinned Shirakawa

-Footage of Roderick Strong becoming the #1 Contender for the CMLL World Title last week was shown in Arena Mexico. Strong faces Champion Claudio Castagnoli this Saturday on Collision.

This led to Excalibur channeling his old self by machine gun firing off a series of matches for Collision and Dynamite next week.

Swerve Strickland (w/Prince Nana) vs. AEW Trios Champion Kevin Knight

(The crowd were on their feet down the stretch, as some were biting at Knight’s near falls. Despite the loss, Knight more than held his own and continues to look like an absolute star, even in defeat. It was a night of strong showings from possible contenders for the AEW Title, as similar to Joe & Omega earlier, Strickland joins the crew in building momentum to who MJF will face for the title. It’ll be interesting to see how that will be decided, as we just are coming off a 4-way, so I hope it’d be a different route for Revolution.)

We’re told Strickland is dedicating this match to the memory of Profit the Producer, who recently passed away and helped make Strickland current theme (he’s wearing an arm band as a tribute). We see MJF sitting in a suite with bottle service, as he’s getting a close look at the main event.

Lighting quick series of counters to start, as Knight used his athleticism to get a high leap frog into a snap arm-drag. Strickland charged, Knight low bridged, but Strickland flipped to his feet, tried to recover, but Knight was there with a slingshot dive. Back inside, huge cross body led to Knight hitting a Griddy, which resulted in Strickland placing him in the corner and hitting as loud of a chop as Joe hit on Bailey earlier in the night. Strickland wanted a piledriver on the steps, but Knight hit a backdrop to the floor and huge springing dropkick off the apron as things head to break with MJF looking kind of impressed.

Back from break, a reverse Torture Rack back breaker from Strickland put him in control, as he followed up with his diving uppercut from the corner before hitting his own Griddy. Knight started firing off shots, leading to a snap suplex for the reset. Knight managed to leap frog to avoid a back fist from Strickland, following with a leaping lariat. Knight missed the rolling frog splash, allowing Strickland to hit his rolling Flatliner. Strickland called for House Call, but Knight dodged and successfully hit his leaping frog splash for two. Strickland hung up Knight on the top, followed with a big boot and attempted superplex, but Knight flipped out into a sunset flip bomb and rolling DDT for a close two.

MJF was shown signaling to Knight to wrap it up and take Strickland out, as both fight to the apron, where Knight wanted another DDT, but Strickland caught and spiked Knight with a DVD on the edge of the ring. Strickland put on the brakes from tossing Knight back inside, instead, opting for a Pulling Piledriver standing on the barricade. Knight just narrowly broke the count at 9, but rolled right into position where Strickland hit a 450 Splash to the back before sinking in a nasty Dragon Sleeper. Knight fought to his feet, as Strickland brought him up to the corner as Please Be Careful chants briefly rang out. Ultimately, Knight managed a massive hurricanrana that led to a Coast to Coast and UFO Splash, but Strickland just got his foot on the rope to break the pin. Strickland got to his knees smiling, as Knight hit House Call, before trying a fireman’s carry, which Strickland floated out of. Hard hitting shots traded, both hit dueling pump knees, hit the ropes, as Knight flew for a lariat, but the same time, Strickland hit House Call in mid-air. Strickland connected on a Vertebreaker and Big Pressure to get the win in a great main event.

Match Result: Swerve Strickland defeated Kevin Knight
