AEW Dynamite comes on the air with Tony Schiavone, Ian Riccaboni & Bryan Danielson welcome us and run down tonight’s card. Death Riders are huddled up outside of the building, as Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli (who is wearing a lucha mask) make their way through the crowd with Marina Shafir by their side carrying the Continental & CMLL World Titles.
AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley & CMLL World Champion Claudio Castagnoli (w/Marina Shafir) vs. Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita & Hechicero)
(Action packed opener and also a preview of what we can expect from Moxley & Takeshita come Revolution. With the way this match ended, I wouldn’t be shocked if we get a Castagnoli vs. Hechicero singles match soon. Post-match was quite interesting, as Takeshita’s intentions are clear, he wants to do this on his own and not with the help of the 47 Callis Family members at Don Callis’ disposal.)
Castagnoli & Hechicero start things off, trading ankle picks and takedowns until Hechicero tried some early mind games. Quick pin attempts are exchanged, as both go hold for hold, until Hechicero backdropped out of a Neutralizer by getting a grapevine on the leg. Castagnoli regrouped outside, allowing Hechicero to taunt Moxley, who tagged in, as well as Takeshita, who has a black eye from his match with Castagnoli on Collision last week. Both trade shoulder blocks and middle fingers, until Castagnoli tagged in, who escaped the power move and made the tag to Hechicero, who used his speed to spike Castagnoli with a head scissors slam. Death Riders would gain control, however, isolating Hechicero in their corner.
Hechicero made a comeback, sending Castagnoli to the floor with a head scissors, but the distance was too much and a hot tag couldn’t be made. Hechicero floated over in the corner, Dragon Screw to Moxley in the ropes and top rope cross body, allowed Takeshita to make the tag and he’s a house of fire. The crowd loudly behind Takeshita, who hit a middle rope hurricanrana to Castagnoli, escaped a Moxley rear naked choke into a Blue Thunder Bomb for two. Moxley blocked the Power Drive Knee, both trade big boots and home run forearms, until Castagnoli sprinted in for an uppercut, allowing Moxley to turn Takeshita inside out with a lariat for two, before sinking in a trio of submissions until Takeshita got the ropes. Moxley wanted a Gotch Style Piledriver, Takeshita escaped into a Power Drive Knee into the double down.
Hechicero & Castagnoli in, as Hechicero got a spinebuster into an arm and neck crank. Castagnoli dodged a corner charge and sent Hechicero crashing outside, where he hit a running seated senton off the apron. Shafir mocked the magic pose, as Castagnoli got a sprinting uppercut before back inside, he hit a cross body, but Hechicero rolled out into a flapjack. Rolling arm trap head scissors turned into a pin broken up by Moxley, as the match breaks down briefly until Castagnoli gets the Giant Swing. Both trade corner charges, as Hechicero connects with a front slam into a guillotine legdrop for two. Hechicero nearly ran into referee Mike Posey in the corner, allowing Castagnoli to get an eye poke and inside cradle to steal the win.
Lance Archer & Mark Davis sprint to the ring in the post-match to attack Moxley & Castagnoli, as even Shafir got shoulder tackled by Archer. Don Callis is on the ramp watching on, as Davis hands Takeshita a steel chair while they hold Moxley. Callis is giddy, but Takeshita refused to do it and held off Davis from using it as well. Danielson said Takeshita clearly wants to do this on his own, as he signaled to Moxley that he’s doing it his way at Revolution. Callis Family stares down the Death Riders on the ramp.
Match Result: Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Hechicero when Castagnoli pinned Hechicero
-Renee Paquette is backstage with TBS Champion Willow Nightingale and new CMLL Women’s Champion Persephone, as Nightingale said this is a match she’s been wanting for a while. Both trade congratulations for beating Mercedes Mone, as Persephone said she hit Mone harder and Nightingale said she hopes she hits her even harder tonight, she can take it. Both fist bump and go their separate ways.

-Don Callis is backstage hyping up Kyle Fletcher before his upcoming match. MJF interrupts and said he’s a beautiful man and wants him to beat the sh*t out of the dollar store karate kid for kicking him in the face last week. Fletcher said he doesn’t know who Maxwell is talking to, he doesn’t take orders from him, he’ll do it for himself. MJF tells Callis he should teach his guys how to talk to the World Champion before walking off. Fletcher told Callis they better not be working for him and Callis just laughs.
AEW Trios Champion Kyle Fletcher vs. Speedball Mike Bailey for the TNT Title
(This should come as no surprise that the two men who had arguably TV Match of the Year in 2025 had an incredible rematch. These two could wrestle every week and they’d have the fans on the edge of their seats. It took shenanigans for Fletcher to retain, but I’m with Bryan Danielson, who wants Bailey to get another shot eventually, one without interference. This was a go out of your way match to check out.)
Fletcher initially made his entrance alone, but fellow Trios Champions Mark Davis & International Champion Kazuchika Okada are seen briefly on the ramp, until they just go to the back, but Don Callis joined commentary. Lighting quick start with reversals aplenty, as each have everything scouted until Bailey slapped on a leaping arm bar, sending Fletcher scrambling. Bailey avoids a Snake Eyes into the post and sends Fletcher crashing into the steps before going back to the arm bar. Fletcher kicks free and heads back inside, where he kept Bailey grounded with boots in the corner, backbreaker and spinning back suplex to follow. Both trade standing switches until Bailey fired off a snap hurricanrana and spin kick to the ribs. Running Shooting Star connects for a near fall, but Fletcher answered with a Snap Dragon. Both slowly raise and hit dueling big boots, Bailey missed a thrust kick, hit a pump kick and spin wheel kick into the double down. Fletcher goes to the apron, where he looks for Snake Eyes into the corner, but Bailey counters into a Poison Rana on the apron, leaving both men down with the crowd going nuts.
Fletcher just narrowly broke the 10 count, as Bailey met him by targeting the left arm while Fletcher was hung up in the ropes. Bailey went up top and hit a leaping double knees to the back, but took too long to follow-up, as Fletcher met him in the corner with a spinning Avalanche Back Suplex for two. Fletcher wanted a Liger Bomb, Bailey countered into a backslide for two, as Fletcher was schoolboyed outside, Bailey met him quickly with a slingshot cross body. After a Golden Moonsault on the floor, back inside, Bailey wanted the Shooting Star double knees, rolled through a miss, floated over a Michinoku Driver, as Fletcher missed a sprint to the outside, allowing Bailey to hit a top rope Corkscrew Moonsault. Back inside, Bailey quickly got a roll-up for two, but Fletcher finally was able to catch the constantly moving Bailey with a Lawn Dart in the corner. Running corner boot connected for Fletcher, who went for the Lawn Dart again, but Bailey countered into a sleeper and arm bar transition. Fletcher got a high stack for two, as Bailey rolled into a Moonsault Double Knee. Buzzsaw Kick connects for two and right back to the arm bar, but Fletcher powered up into a Liger Bomb for the reset.
Both rolled outside, where Fletcher wanted another powerbomb, Bailey rolled out and hit another Moonsault Double Knee. Bailey placed Fletcher on the apron and wanted another knee, but was kicked off, Fletcher floated over back into the ring, as Bailey went up top, was cut-off, as they scrambled until Bailey hit an Avalanche Posion Rana at the 5-minute call. Time Adventure connects flush, as Fletcher fell like a mannequin, but somehow got a shoulder up at two, shocking everyone, even Callis. PK and Ultimate Weapon by Bailey, who charged for a home run kick, only to run into a Michinoku Driver by Fletcher for two. Lariat turned Bailey inside out, as he went for a Brainbuster, but Bailey countered into a snap hurricanrana pin for two. Spin wheel kick to the corner connects, but Bailey missed an Ultimate Weapon from the corner. Fletcher missed a corner charge, they trade switches, Bailey got a straight jacket pin for yet another near fall. Kazuchika Okada appears on the apron with a screwdriver in his hands and runs distraction on referee Paul Turner, allowing Mark Davis to sprint down with a Trios Title, pass it to Fletcher, who decked Bailey and hit a Brainbuster for the win in a thriller. Danielson wants Bailey to get a rematch and fair shot, as Riccaboni said it took an army to defeat him. Post-match, Okada put away the screwdriver and had a smile on his face as he walked by Dave Meltzer seated ringside.
Match Result: Kyle Fletcher defeated Speedball Mike Bailey to retain the TNT Title

Brody King vs. ?
Tony Schiavone said this is our standby match, as King is in his street clothes. We hear comments from earlier today that King has been looking for Swerve Strickland all day, but couldn’t find him. Bell sounds, one massive lariat and Gonzo Bomb ends it. Poor opponent didn’t even get an introduction.
Post-match, King high fived the fans ringside until a fan in a hoodie wrapped a chain around King’s throat and it was Swerve Strickland. Strickland continued choking King out with the chain back inside, but King slowly rose and snapped the chain clean in half. Strickland couldn’t believe it and tried bailing, but was dropped with a back suplex and huge corner cannonball. King grabbed the chain, wrapped it around his fist and choked Strickland out on the apron with it. Prince Nana appears and tries to attack from behind, as the distraction allowed him to be thrown away, but Strickland snapped at King’s right wrist to get free. Danielson brought up that King has had that wrist broken in the past.
Match Result: Brody King defeated ?
-Renee Paquette is backstage with Speedball Mike Bailey, asking how he’ll regroup come Revolution. Bailey could make excuses, but that’s not who he is, he needs to look forward, not back. Revolution, the Don Callis Family will get exactly what they deserve.
Darby Allin & Orange Cassidy vs. The Dogs (David Finlay & Gabe Kidd)
(You’re pretty much guaranteed a wild brawl whenever Kidd & Allin are on opposing sides and this was no different. A solid Dynamite debut showing for Finlay, as The Dogs pick up a needed win here to really establish themselves as a strong team in AEW. The post-match obviously sets up a trios match, presumably at Revolution, with the return of Roderick Strong giving Allin and especially Cassidy, a needed number in their battle with The Dogs.)
Finlay attacked Cassidy from behind, as Allin wasted no time going after Kidd, with all four men brawling outside. Commentary talked about Allin not wanting a win tonight, instead wanting vengeance. After the fight ringside ends, Allin sent Kidd into the ring, where Cassidy met him with a top rope cross body and PK. Allin sprinted and looked to wipe out Finlay with a low Tope, but Finlay dodged it and Allin crashed and burned. That left Cassidy alone and worked over by The Dogs, who posed for the crowd before keeping Cassidy isolated.
Riccaboni talked about Finlay running Bullet Club for the last four years, as Danielson said he’s been constantly impressed with Finlay and brings up his father, Fit Finlay. Danielson said David despises his father for never winning a World Championship. Kidd choked Cassidy with a hanging guillotine off the second rope, but Cassidy kicked out at two. Cassidy was able to fight back after taking out Kidd with a Tope Suicida and Finlay with a spinning DDT into the double down, but Kidd scrambled to hit Allin off the apron to keep Cassidy in their corner.
Cassidy was finally able to kick free and make the hot tag to Allin, who hit corner Coffin Splashes until he low bridged Kidd to the outside and caught Finlay with a springboard Coffin Splash. Kidd returned and was placed in the Scorpion Death Lock, as Finlay broke the hold with an eye rake. Allin tried another Coffin Splash, but was caught, as a Code Red was blocked and Kidd took Allin’s head off with a lariat mid-move. As Finlay was posing in the corner, Cassidy was able to hit a Stundog on Kidd and Allin followed with a Code Red. Allin & Cassidy hit double dives outside on The Dogs, as Allin placed Kidd on a chair and connects with a missile dropkick off the top. Cassidy signaled for an Orange Punch, but was decked from behind by Clark Connors wielding a tire iron. Allin rolled Kidd back inside, but missed a Coffin Drop, as Kidd got a sleeper, only Finlay made the save with a back breaker. Dominator by Finlay and leaping Piledriver by Kidd won it for The Dogs.
Post-match, Allin was tossed outside, as Connors threw Cassidy in the ring where he planted him with a Spear. The Dogs stood tall until Roderick Strong slowly walked out from the back. He teased taking out Cassidy, but threw him head first into Finlay and took out Kidd & Connors in the process. Allin recovered and chucked the skateboard at Kidd, while Connors was dropped with an End of Heartache. Strong stared down Cassidy before offering his hand, pulled him up and they high fived one another.
Match Result: The Dogs defeated Darby Allin & Orange Cassidy when Kidd pinned Allin

AEW Women’s Tag Team Champion Willow Nightingale vs. CMLL Women’s World Champion Persephone for the TBS Title
(I thought these two worked very well with one another being this was their first singles meeting. This was Persephone’s Dynamite debut and I’d say she more than delivered and got to really show off her power ability and wowed the crowd, even in defeat. I hope we get to see more of her on AEW TV in the near future. At this very moment, we don’t have either a TBS or Women’s Tag Title match for Revolution and I’m sure that will change soon.)
Riccaboni did his Willow Nightingale freestyle rap during her entrance and it impressed Bryan Danielson. Even back and forth in the feeling out process, as each trade head scissors before Nightingale offered a handshake. Persephone pulled her into a cazadora pin for two, as they exchange pin attempts before Nightingale missed a corner charge and ate stiff corner shots. Nightingale connected on her cartwheel enzugiri that led to corner clotheslines, but Persephone answers with a crucifix pin for two. Nightingale quickly recovered into a Fisherman’s Suplex for a near fall of her own, as Danielson brought up Nightingale’s recent schedule and defending the title in London against Nina Samuels at EVE this past weekend. Nightingale tried her low cross body, but Persephone rolled through, held on and hit a Fall Away Slam into a kip-up, impressing the hell out of everyone.
Persephone remained in control and kept Nightingale grounded, until a head scissors sent Nightingale outside, where she decked Persephone before she could take off for a dive. She did the same thing by sweeping the legs out from Persephone on the apron, hit a few clubbing blows before planting Persephone with a Spinebuster. Danielson said he saw Persephone’s head bounce off the floor, as you could feel the vibrations on their feet. Nightingale hit a running cannonball off the apron and another back inside in the corner for two. Nightingale wanted a Moonsault, but missed, allowing Persephone to hit a release German, but Nightingale blocked a charge and delivered one of her own. Thrust kick by Persephone, who hit a Lionsault for a close near fall at the 10-minute call.
Each slowly rise and trade forearms, until Persephone Matrix’s out initially, only to be wiped out by a Nightingale lariat for two. Nightingale missed a corner charge, ate a shotgun dropkick, as Persephone went up top, where Nightingale met her. The two battled for position, until Persephone tried a sunset bomb, but Nightingale held on, so Persephone nearly got a Crucifix Bomb, only Nightingale wiggled free into a backslide for the flash pin. Persephone couldn’t believe it, she was furious, as Nightingale celebrated up the ramp.
Match Result: Willow Nightingale defeated Persephone to retain the TBS Title
-Video package of Tommaso Ciampa turning his back on Mark Briscoe at Collision last weekend was shown. Ciampa said Briscoe was at the wrong place at the right time, as it was an epiphany for Ciampa to realize who he really is. Briscoe said he got off the phone with some friends and Dem Bucks will face Ciampa & FTR next.
