AEW Dynamite Thanksgiving Eve live results: Continental Classic begins
AEW’s annual Thanksgiving Eve edition of Dynamite features the kickoff of the 2025 Continental Classic tonight from Nashville.
Three Continental Classic bouts will take place on tonight’s episode — two from the Gold League, and one from the Blue League.
In the Gold League, reigning and defending Continental and Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada faces his Don Callis Family teammate Kyle Fletcher. Okada won last year’s C2 and is billed as the greatest tournament wrestler.
In the other Gold League bout, Darby Allin faces Kevin Knight. Allin participated in the C2 last yearand racked up seven points in the Gold League.
In the lone Blue League tilt on tonight’s show, Jon Moxley faces Mascara Dorada. Moxley returns to the C2 after missing the 2024 edition, and finishing as the runner-up in 2023.
The fallout from Samoa Joe’s AEW World title win at Full Gear will also be felt tonight as The Opps celebrate Joe’s victory.

AEW Dynamite comes on the air with Excalibur & Tony Schiavone running down tonight’s card before throwing it to a video package from Full Gear and the bad night some of the Don Callis Family had with Kyle Fletcher losing his TNT Title and also being unsuccessful challenging for the CMLL Trios Titles. Don Callis is on commentary for the upcoming match.
Kazuchika Okada vs. Kyle Fletcher in a Continental Classic Gold League Match
(Great way to kick off the C2, by having Prot-Okada collide. These two started off pretty slow, only to ramp it up the second half. It certainly seems like Fletcher has Okada’s number, as this is another rare L for Okada and immediately puts him at a disadvantage going forward in his League.)
Excalibur informs us Okada has surrendered his Continental Title, since it will be awarded to the tournament winner. Okada & Fletcher both fake handshakes to start, but catch one another’s kicks, slowly placing them down before showing one another. Both back each other up to the ropes and do the clean break before trading shoulder blocks, until Fletcher absorbs a big boot and is able to mow Okada down. Fletcher went up top for the Okada elbow drop, but took too long, as Okada shoved referee Rick Knox into the ropes, crotches Fletcher and hits him with a dropkick to the outside. Things go to commercial with Okada pleading his case to the ref.
Okada slowly controlled the entire break, tried his elbow off the top, but Fletcher returned the favor, shoving Knox, crotching Okada and follows with a huge superplex. Fletcher starts ramping up the offense, flying corner forearm and swinging back suplex for two. Okada countered a powerbomb into an Air Raid Crash neckbreaker, goes up top for the elbow, but again, was cut off. Fletcher tried another superplex, but Okada sent him crashing to the mat and finally hit the zero hang time elbow. Rainmaker middle finger pose, as Fletcher ducked the Rainmaker into a Half and Half. Okada bailed outside to avoid the Yakuza Kick, swept the leg out on the apron before hitting a draping DDT. Fletcher kicked out at two back inside, as Okada starts toying with him with little kicks, only firing Fletcher up. Okada pops up from a superkick, Fletcher pops up from a John Woo dropkick, only to walk right into a flush Okada dropkick and Tombstone. Fletcher counters Rainmaker into a desperation Michinoku Driver into the double down.
15 minute time call, with 5 remaining, as both fought to their feet until Okada ducks a rolling lariat, gets a backslide, maintains wrist control and hits a Rainmaker. Okada went for a home run shot, reversed a Tombstone into a Lawn Dart and huge sit-out powerbomb for two. Flying leg lariat to the neck, as Okada nearly took off Knox’s head with a Rainmaker, but pulled up. Okada gouged Fletcher’s eyes, but Fletcher caught a cazadora roll-up for the flash pin. Okada can’t believe it, as Callis congratulates Fletcher before checking on Okada. Both men shake hands, as Okada teased a middle finger, but Fletcher certainly isn’t Konosuke Takeshita.

-Footage of the $1 Million Match at Full Gear and The Young Bucks reuniting with Kenny Omega is shown. Lexy Nair is shown outside of Omega’s locker room, where he opens the door, saying it’s a complicated answer as to whether The Elite has reunited. Omega was once fooled by Don Callis as well, so he’d be a hypocrite not to take that into account and if his friends are willing to accept him for his faults and if the fans are as well, who is Omega to say The Bucks don’t deserve a second chance? Omega closes the door, Nair stands there for a bit, only for The Bucks to walk out of the locker room, telling Nair what’s up.

-Highlights of the TNT Title match at Full Gear with Mark Briscoe defeating Kyle Fletcher to finally win the title. A bloody Briscoe is backstage after the match saying he lost the most important thing to him, his brother, his other half. It’s been a long road since, not knowing if he’d want to continue wrestling without him, but realized he had to do it for them. Failure after failure, but there’s a time and season for everything, so when family is on the line, his crew, The Conglomeration, it changes everything. This title is for his real and road family; it’s for Delaware and looks up and says this is for Jay. This was a hell of a promo, very happy for Briscoe to finally have AEW gold.
The Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron) vs. Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart & Skye Blue) in an AEW Women’s Tag Team Title Tournament Semi-Final
(The positive is that Cameron continues improving immensely after such a short time being an active competitor, while Nightingale is so massively over with the crowd, it makes this the perfect pairing. Unfortunately, there were some real clunky moments by Hart & Blue, especially the moonsault spot, where even commentary tried their best to cover. While many could see The Love Bombs as favorites to win the titles, I certainly wouldn’t hate if Cameron & Nightingale take the gold in the Finals, the crowd loves them and they team incredibly well.)
Hart tried to sucker Cameron in with a handshake, but Nightingale yelled not to trust her. Early takedown by Cameron, as Nightingale made a blind tag, as both flattened Hart with a double back suplex. Cameron piggy backed Nightingale, who hit an assisted senton for two. Blue tags in and gets squished in the corner with lariats as Cameron tagged back in and Blue was ping ponged with strikes until Cameron missed an assisted cazadora splash. Hart sent Nightingale crashing outside and hit a standing moonsault on Cameron for two. Double flapjack connected, as an awkward looking double team kick attempt failed, as Nightingale pulled Hart outside and sent her crashing into the barricade. Cameron hit a corner splash on Blue and went for corner punches, but Hart recovered, ran distraction, allowing Blue to hit a rolling neckbreaker for two.
Back from commercial, Hart did her rope walk clubbing blow, as Blue tagged in and caught just enough of a kick for two. Tarantula applied by Hart, as Blue flew in with a dropkick for another near fall. Cameron was able to counter a series of switches into a back suplex into the double down, leading to the Nightingale hot tag. Blue made a blind tag and clocked Nightingale, who hit a spinebuster on Hart and tried a cover. Spinning DDT by Blue got two, but Nightingale fought back with a double suplex. Oklahoma Stampede on Blue, as Cameron tagged in and successfully hit the cazadora splash for two. Pump knee from Blue, but Cameron returned the favor into a Russian Legsweep, but was cut-off in the corner, as Blue got a Cheeky Nandos kick. Powerbomb by Blue hit, but Hart tried her moonsault and landed on her feet and just did a little splash, which looked really bad. Cameron avoided the double team finisher, sent Blue & Hart colliding into each other, as Nightingale made a blind tag. Cameron took out Blue with a backstabber and Nightingale with a Doctor Bomb on Hart to win it.
Match Result: The Babes of Wrath defeated Sisters of Sin to advance in the AEW Women’s Tag Team Title Tournament when Nightingale pinned Hart

The Opps World Title Celebration
Tony Schiavone introduces the new AEW Men’s World Champion Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs & Katsuyori Shibata to the ring. Joe immediately took the mic from Schiavone, telling him tonight is a celebration, so don’t ruin his and take his hillbilly ass out of here. Before Joe could say anything else, Swerve Strickland pulls up the arena with Prince Nana telling him to go get’em, boss. Strickland has a staple gun, as Hangman Adam Page appears and has a chain in hand. The two walk backstage, as Joe told Shibata to go take care of those scrubs. The Opps Dojo surrounds ringside as Joe said everything went according to plan. Shibata nullified Eddie Kingston, Hobbs showed off his feats of strength, to Joe Muscle Bustering Page in the middle of the ring. The simpletons here in the crowd won’t understand what went down, so here’s a video package on how they got their today.
We cut to a HOOK video package and how he started running with Kingston, while showing the run-in HOOK had with Joe & Hobbs backstage a few months ago, with HOOK telling Joe he’ll always have their back. HOOK turning on Page at Full Gear and helping Joe win the World Title was shown. Joe said that was some of his best work and now the fans can have a champion worthy of being called the greatest in this industry. Joe introduces the linchpin in this endeavor, HOOK. That crooner theme went from super annoying for a babyface, to hilariously fitting for a heel, as HOOK comes out and hugs The Opps. HOOK said Joe was right, all these rednecks are too stupid to realize he’s the greatest second-generation wrestler this business has ever seen.
Strickland’s new music cut HOOK off, as he’s walking in the crowd, when Page’s music soon followed and he’s located at the bar. After a quick drink, Page & Strickland start wasting Opps Dojo members, as Page smashed a bottle on one’s head. Page & Strickland rush the ring, as The Opps bail, leaving their Dojo dorks to get destroyed by chain and staple gun shots. Page & Strickland hung members of the Dojo by their necks with the chain, as referees rush the ring to stop things, as Joe and crew leave.
-Post-match comments from Jon Moxley at Full Gear after losing to Kyle O’Reilly. Moxley said he’s doing just fine, while O’Reilly is heading to the hospital. Footage of Moxley tapping, while PAC won against Darby Allin via using a baseball bat. Moxley was insulted that O’Reilly had to go to the hospital. The battles always continue tomorrow, as the playoffs are about to start. The rest of the Death Riders watch as Moxley leaves the shot.
Jon Moxley vs. Mascara Dorada in a Continental Classic Blue League Match
(For having such a clash of styles, I thought these two worked very well with each other. I’ve said it before, but I love that we’re at the point in Moxley’s story where literally anyone can apply a submission and the crowd pops, thinking it could be the end. This could be the Achillies for Moxley at any point in this C2. The post-match was incredibly entertaining, as Moxley’s reaction to Storm’s promo was the best.)
Much slower pace than you’d expect to begin, as Moxley tries keeping Dorada grounded, until Dorada ramps it up quick with a wild head scissors to the outside. Moxley side-stepped a dive, slid back in the ring and hit one of his own. Back inside, Dorada hit a springboard cross body, as Moxley rolled to the ramp. Again, avoiding a dive, Moxley tried chucking Dorada off the stage, but Dorada turned the tables. Dorada got a running start and leapt from the stage, only for Moxley to swat him out of the air with a forearm. Back inside, flipping standing suplex put Moxley in firm control heading to commercial.
Back from break, Dorada battled back by hurdling the barricade and catching Moxley throat first. Back inside, Tornillo arm drag led to a combo of kicks before a Code Red got a near fall. Moxley tried to create some distance, but Dorada wouldn’t allow it, hitting another Tornillo outside. Dorada was too slow to follow-up, allowing Moxley to fire off a Cutter and 13 corner punches, but Moxley played to the crowd giving Dorada a chance to hit almost an Iconoclasm variation. Dorada got an arm-bar, as Moxley scrambled, got a mount with punches, leading to a Regal Knee. Dorada countered Death Rider into an inside cradle for two, as a thrust kick planted Moxley. Dorada went up top and hit the 450, but Moxley kicked out. Schiavone said this is typically when the Death Riders would save Moxley, but zero interference allowed in the C2. Dorada went up top again, tried a Shooting Star Press, but Moxley got the knees up, applied a D’arce Choke, causing Dorada to pass out.
Post-match, Marina Shafir came to the ring to check on Moxley, when Timeless Toni Storm’s music hit and she made her way out. Storm told Johnny that his eyes weren’t deceiving him, this is Timeless Toni Storm, the toughest, most resilient, least bitchy person in this ring. Despite Moxley’s love of cargo pants, Storm likes him, but where he operates in fear and hate, she operates in love, which is far more violent than he could ever imagine. Storm would love to stay and chat all night, just us gals, but she has a message for his cave woman daughter. As per the Love Bombs victory at Full Gear, their stipulation must be brutal enough to exact their revenge while entertaining the Sickos. After 4 nights straight, she rolled over and saw her sweet Mina (Shirakawa came to the stage) and said her early Christmas gift is the heads of two sloptarts.

-Renee Paquette is backstage with Kris Statlander, calling her the greatest in the galaxy, the second woman ever in AEW to pin Mercedes Mone. Statlander said she’s seen nothing but disbelief in people’s faces that she’s the only person to win the Women’s & TBS Titles. There’s 3 options, face the past, present or look to the future. Statlander knows where she’s going, who’s coming with her? We essentially learned nothing from this, as I have no idea who or what is next for Stat.

Darby Allin vs. Kevin Knight in a Continental Classic Gold League Match
(An excellent match and star making performance by Knight as a singles competitor. Nigel McGuinness wisely pointed out that Allin’s body has been through so much, that taking on something like the C2 at this point could have him at a severe disadvantage in his League. It wouldn’t be an Allin match without some scary moments and the monkey flip bump he took was terrifying. It’ll be interesting to see how/if Allin can bounce back and also how Knight builds off this momentum.)
First time meeting between these two, as Allin fired off some lighting quick arm drags to keep Knight grounded early. Knight used his speed to escape, did a monkey flip, causing Allin’s leg to snap on the ropes and looked really rough. Allin quickly went outside to create distance, but Knight threw him into the barricade and launched off it with a moonsault all in one motion, wildly impressive. Back inside, Allin cut a springboard off, sending Knight crashing outside and following with a running dive. Allin went for a Coffin Drop, but Knight sprung to his feet and hit an Avalanche Back Suplex for the double down into break.
We return with Knight hitting a standing hurricanrana from the mat to the corner and huge dropkick that send Allin to the floor. Allin was able to sweep out Knight’s leg on the ramp and hit a dropkick of his own with high impact. Back inside, Last Supper attempted, but Knight kicked out. Knight fought off a hammer throw, tried a leaping clothesline, which Allin ducked, Knight avoided a Death Drop, each got a head of steam and collided with a lariat, turning one another inside out into the double down. Allin was sent out to the ramp, Knight tried a springboard, missed, but connected on a pendulum DDT. Allin was trying to beat the count, giving Knight a chance to clear the top rope with a huge clothesline. Back inside, Knight missed a UFO Splash, Allin flew in with a Code Red for a close two of his own. Allin wanted a Coffin Drop, was crotched in a Tree of Woe, as Knight sprung to the opposite side of the ring for an insane Coast to Coast dropkick. UFO Splash landed flush and Knight gets the clean pin, his biggest win in AEW to date. Allin & Knight shook hands in the post-match.

-Eddie Kingston is backstage and said he doesn’t want to talk about HOOK right now. He heard Joe mention his name, which is cool, he’s not in line for a title shot right now, but he will if he takes out his boy Shibata on Collision. The match is official for tomorrow night.
Orange Cassidy vs. Claudio Castagnoli in a Continental Classic Blue League Match
(These two have been in so many types of tag matches in AEW that I was surprised this was only their third singles match. Both work so well with one another, as Cassidy is the perfect guy for Castagnoli to launch all over the ring, while Cassidy is able to counter the power moves perfectly. It almost always results in a great match, thus why it was a deserving main event tonight. Next week will be incredibly interesting, as Moxley & Castagnoli will go one-on-one.)
We’re told Cassidy demanded that Tony Khan move his match with Castagnoli up to tonight after what happened to Kyle O’Reilly at Full Gear. We’re also told Roderick Strong officially takes O’Reilly’s place in the C2 as a result. Castagnoli tried to rush at the bell, but Cassidy avoided into a series of pin attempts. Castagnoli finally was able to stop the momentum with a tilt a whirl backbreaker. Cassidy was just slammed face first in the corner, where Castagnoli followed up with a charging uppercut. Cassidy avoided a Neutralizer and threw some little kicks into an arm drag and Tope. Castagnoli just bounced back off the barricade and laid out Cassidy with a clothesline. Castagnoli missed a home run uppercut, as Cassidy tried his spinning DDT, only to be bounced back and forth with a Giant Swing into the commentary table and barricade.
Castagnoli hoisted Cassidy up by his pants and continued to deliver gut busters. He tried this one time too many, as Cassidy finally was able to counter into a DDT. Cassidy went to the pockets, hit a snap dropkick and PK. Not able to get Beach Break, Castagnoli missed a charge, posted himself, giving Cassidy a chance to hit a Tope DDT. Quickly back inside, Stundog Millionaire hits, as Cassidy went up top, but leapt into a huge uppercut. Anvil elbows from Castagnoli, who wanted a Neutralizer, Cassidy tried Beach Break, but Castagnoli countered into a Giant Swing. Home run uppercut missed, as Cassidy hit an Orange Punch first. Castagnoli wanted a pop-up uppercut, but Cassidy hit an Orange Punch in mid-air and Beach Break for a close two. Cassidy threw off the elbow pad, wanted a final Orange Punch, missed and Castagnoli waffled him with a lariat. Cassidy countered a Neutralizer into a hurricanrana, as both got up as Castagnoli finally hit his pop-up uppercut to win it.
Post-match, the rest of the Death Riders come to the ring to celebrate Castagnoli’s victory, as Renee Paquette comes into the ring. She says Castagnoli is the only one to compete in all three Continental Classics, when Wheeler Yuta trash talked and started brawling with Cassidy. Death Riders beat down Cassidy with Shafir taking Paquette to safety, until Roderick Strong, Kyle Fletcher, Konosuke Takeshita, Kevin Knight, Speedball Mike Bailey, Mascara Dorada all hit the ring to have a giant brawl until Dorada does a huge moonsault onto the pile outside. Kazuchika Okada is watching on from the ramp, while Cassidy takes Yuta’s face off with an Orange Punch. Death Riders retreat, as Fletcher & Takeshita are regrouping with Takeshita pointing up at Okada and PAC staring down Bailey to end the show.
