AEW Dynamite: September to Remember comes on the air with Excalibur welcoming us alongside Taz & Bryan Danielson as they throw it to Tony Schiavone in the ring, who introduces Champion & Challenger for the AEW World Title match this Saturday.
Hangman Adam Page & Kyle Fletcher’s All Out Contract Signing
Despite the Don Callis Family not being allowed at ringside during All Out, Callis was out with Fletcher tonight, quickly cutting Schiavone off before anyone could put pen to paper. Callis told Page he remembers when he took the AEW World Title from him and that weakling Kenny Omega, but there’s nothing Page can do to a stud athlete like Fletcher, as Saturday, it’s coming to the Family. Page said the stipulation isn’t to keep half the roster continuing to get involved in World Title matches or that he could put the entire Callis Family in the ground, it’s so one day, Fletcher can look back and realize that he could win this on his own and worthy of it. If Fletcher reads the contract, if Don or any member of the Family get involved, not only will Fletcher be DQ’d, but Fletcher will lose the TNT Title.
That got some slight boos from the crowd, but Fletcher held back Callis, saying Page could’ve put anything in that contract, even crawling a mile in glass, he’d do anything to get a title shot. Not having The Family out there changes nothing, as Fletcher fulfils his destiny Saturday as the Men’s AEW World Champion. Fletcher told Page he’s better than he was at his age when he started in AEW and all the way up to now. AEW doesn’t need Hangman Page or Kenny Omega, it needs The Protostar. Saturday, Fletcher allows Page to ride off into the sunset, as the entire company will belong to him. With that, Fletcher officially signed the contract.
Page said he knows how it feels to be Fletcher right now, but the thing Fletcher doesn’t know yet, is it’ll crush him the day after All Out. While Page believes Fletcher in saying he’ll give everything he has, it won’t be enough, but what Fletcher does with that feeling will define him. After All Out and the days and years that follow, do not disappoint him, as Page signed the contract. Fletcher cut off Schiavone trying to make it official, as he told Page he’s a man of his word, no physicality tonight during the signing or Family members out there Saturday, but tonight, Page will be unable to leave the building on his own two feet and he’ll say Fletcher’s full name.
-Video package on the upcoming Coffin Match between Jon Moxley & Darby Allin at All Out is shown. The Death Riders reign of terror is shown, as Allin returned from climbing Mount Everest and wanting nothing but revenge for the injuries left by Moxley and crew. Moxley promises to bury Allin in the ground, while Allin promises to pull Moxley into the fire. Excalibur told us Bryan Danielson talked with Allin earlier in the day and we’ll hear those comments later in the show.
Jon Moxley (w/Marina Shafir & Daniel Garcia) vs. Roderick Strong (w/Kyle O’Reilly)
(A match that was going quite well and was pretty hard hitting and competitive, until the blueprint of many of the Death Riders matches reared it’s ugly head again and we got a shenanigans finish. I still believe the Garcia association with the Death Riders could be a ruse, but for the time being, he was loyal to the crew, even though it was Yuta with the assist tonight.)
Strong immediately wiped-out Garcia with a baseball slide before lighting Moxley up with chops around ringside until Moxley went at the eyes. Strong battled back with a back breaker on the barricade, but Moxley regained control as things went back to the ring. Strong hit a dropkick that sent Moxley to the outside, where Shafir stepped in front of Strong, smiling at him. Taz said it looked like Strong was infatuated with her; despite never actually saying they’re married in real life. With Strong distracted, Moxley blindsided him, sending him over the barricade, where O’Reilly was left assisting Strong back to the ring as things went to commercial.
It was all Moxley during break, but Strong fired up with chops and big leg lariat. Death By Roderick connected, but Moxley kicked out at two. Strong looked for a Gibson Driver, only Moxley spun out into a lariat and stalling piledriver for two of his own. A rope break saved Strong from a cross-arm breaker, as he managed to respond with a Sick Kick and Angle Slam, only Moxley held on, floating over to the Bulldog Choke. Strong scrambled and managed another Angle Slam, this time for a two count. Both men up to the tippy top rope, Moxley bit at Strong’s fingers, but Strong repositioned into an Avalanche Spinning Slam for a near fall. Both slowly up, as Moxley wanted a Paradigm Shift, but Strong tackled him to the floor. As Strong threw Moxley back inside, Garcia tripped Strong up, leading to a brawl with Garcia & O’Reilly. Referee Paul Turner’s attention was turned, as Strong went to hit the ropes, but was tripped by Wheeler Yuta (who slightly arrived late and Strong kind of pulled up on his own), leading to Moxley getting the Bulldog Choke and Strong tap out.
Match Result: Jon Moxley defeated Roderick Strong
-Video package for the rivalry between Mark Briscoe & MJF is shown, with each costing the other title opportunity over the past month. Briscoe made it official for All Out, Tables n Tacks match.
Footage of MJF going to Tony Khan’s office after Collision last week, telling him he screwed MJF at Forbidden Door, taking away being able to cash in his Casino Gauntlet Contract any time he wants, so MJF wants out of the Tables n Tacks match, as he’s not a death match wrestler, demanding Khan take him out of this. Khan screamed that he owes MJF nothing and MJF said it’s nice of him to put on his big boy pants for a change, but MJF isn’t to blame when there’s another Briscoe in the ground after Saturday. MJF stormed out of the office.

Bobby Lashley (w/MVP & Shelton Benjamin) vs. Toa Liona (w/Ricochet & Bishop Kaun)
(Taz called it the Battle of the Behemoths and that was incredibly accurate, as I thought this was Liona’s best showing in his AEW run so far as he held his own and controlled a ton of this match. If you still wondered if The Hurt Syndicate are heels or faces, they were super babyfaces tonight in Canada.)
Pre-match, we’re reminded that Lashley has never been pinned or submitted since coming to AEW. The crowd chanted for Lashley in the early going, but it was Liona who was in the driver’s seat, delivering clubbing blows. Lashley started firing up momentarily, until Liona mowed him down with a big boot, standing and posing on top of Lashley before both went to the apron. Massive headbutt from Liona, who hit a gnarly Samoan Drop on the edge of the ring, leaving Lashley crumbled with things going to break.
Despite Lashley getting in some offense during commercial, it was Liona who recovered with a series of corner splashes. Liona opted to pose for the crowd, allowing Lashley to hit an Electric Chair for the reset. Both slowly up with a slugfest, as the crowd is loudly behind Lashley after every forearm thrown. Liona no sold a lariat, but Lashley ducked another into an overhead belly to belly. Both trade counters until Liona hit another headbutt, but again, posed, giving Lashley a chance to hit a Flatliner. Lashley lined up for the Spear, Liona bailed outside. Still being groggy, Lashley sprinted around ringside and hit a Spear out there. MVP popped Ricochet with a right hand, while Kaun was decked with a Benjamin thrust kick. The distraction allowed Liona to Pounce Lashley across the ring for a close near fall. Lashley floated over a powerslam attempt in The Hurt Lock, as Liona kicked out of the corner for a pin attempt, but Lashley rolled over with the submission still applied and Liona passed out.
Post-match, Ricochet & Kaun hit the ring to attack, but MVP broke his cane over Ricochet’s back, while Kaun was also sent packing and The Hurt Syndicate stood tall with the crowd chanting They Hurt People loudly.
Match Result: Bobby Lashley defeated Toa Liona

Christian Cage, Adam Copeland & FTR Face-To-Face
Tony Schiavone is in the ring to talk about two of the greatest tag teams ever to clash this Saturday at All Out before introducing Copeland first to a massive ovation, as the Canadian crowd sang his theme. Despite being a team, Cage walked out on the heel side of the stage during his introduction. FTR & Stokely came out with security guards, as Schiavone reminds everyone there will be heavy fines if there’s any altercations here tonight. Stokely took the mic and said if they touch Harwood or Wheeler, it’s $100,000 fines, but touch Stokely it’s $500,000 fine and the match is off. Stokely told Copeland & Cage that their families won’t see them compete in their hometown if they put their hands on him, so FTR gets to speak first.
Wheeler said 16 years ago, 2009, he met Copeland for the first time, while Copeland was one of the biggest stars in the industry, while Wheeler was a nothing trying to start in the business. Copeland came to his gym and they struck up a friendship and the advice Copeland gave him. 10 years later, FTR have become Living Legends who helped Copeland get his career back. Despite helping Copeland get to AEW, he made it The Cope Show, while FTR did all the work. 6 years ago, they helped him get his career back, Saturday, they take it away for good.
Harwood said he won’t yell over the fans, but there was a time Copeland & Cage were the best team in the world. The only reason was because their competition were two mediocre teams that made them look good. FTR have carried tag team wrestling on their back over the last decade bringing up Enzo & Cass, Gable & Jordan, Gargano & Ciampa, The Young Bucks, Bullet Club Gold & The Outrunners. For Copeland & Cage, this is a dream match, but Saturday, don’t force them to end theirs.
Copeland ripped the mic away, telling them to shut the hell up and Stokely to keep his wife’s name out of his mouth or else Beth will slap the lips off his face. Copeland said the fans don’t want FTR in the spotlight, they wanted Copeland, who tried nothing but helping them when he came to AEW. Copeland & Cage revolutionized tag team wrestling, even having a match turn into a PPV. On Saturday, in front of their family and home country, when they drag them to the deep water, FTR will understand why there’s only one Cope & Cage (Cage took the mic and said Cage & Cope), as Harwood told Copeland stop looking at him, which Copeland said he’ll look at anyone he damn well pleases and called Harwood a piece of sh*t. Cage took the mic and said with $500,000, Stokely might be able to actually get some hoes. At the risk of sounding like an asshole, $100,000 doesn’t mean a damn thing to them because he’s rich. Cage & Copeland swung at FTR and the fight was on, as Excalibur brought up the exchange rate in Canada working in their favor. Security was beaten up, as Cage laid one out with a Killswitch, as FTR & Stokely retreated, with Harwood’s nose completely busted in the scuffle.
-Renee Paquette is backstage approaching The Young Bucks, who were rocking suits as Nick said from rags to riches, they paid off production to give them a proper entrance. Matt reminds Nick the bag of $500,000 they won last week is getting a little light with their recent trip to the High Limit Slots at the Casino. Matt said tonight starts their redemption tour, as they’ll beat the Bang Bang Gang tonight and go on to win their 4th Tag Team Titles at All Out. Nick said they’ve been rude to Paquette over the last few years and gave her $10,000, which Matt wasn’t a fan of. Paquette immediately became a Bucks fan as a result.
The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson & Austin Gunn) in an AEW Tag Team Title 4-Way Ladder Match Qualifier
(Despite the loss, the duo of Robinson & Gunn have continued to improve and make the best of their crew being bit by the injury bug. I know The Bucks have great matches with everyone, but Robinson & Gunn had some really close near falls and the fans certainly were behind them. The story of Nick blowing through the money they won last week, while Matt wants to keep it, is simple, but hilarious. It’s not if they’ll go broke again, but how quickly.)
Massive pyro for The Bucks, who go their old EVP entrance, while a sign from a fan that said The Bucks were the greatest team ever led to Nick handing them some money, which Matt again wasn’t digging. The Bucks briefly had a fast start, but opted to hit their pose, allowing Robinson to take them both out and tag Gunn. Sliding leg sweep on Nick and hard right hand got a two count, but Gunn was caught up in the ropes, as Matt hit a slingshot senton before taking out Robinson with a baseball slide. See You in Hell somersault assisted backbreaker had The Bucks in control heading into break.
Back from break, Nick went to the bag of cash and tried bribing referee Rick Knox, who threw the money in the air (conveniently right when Excalibur was doing a read for Draft Kings). After a school boy got a near fall, a tilt a whirl slam from Gunn led to a double down and Robinson hot tag. Atomic drop into a huge running senton on Nick, while Matt was lit up with jabs and Left Hand of God before Robinson tagged back in Gunn. Locomotion corner attack on Nick, as Robinson hit a running cannonball, while Gunn leveled Nick with a lariat. Tag back to Robinson, as Nick hit the slingshot face buster, but Gunn side stepped a moonsault off the apron and hit a Fame-Asser. Robinson tried a slingshot dive, missed and Nick followed with a Tornillo on the pile. Back inside, The Bucks hit a sunset flip German Suplex on Robinson, who ate a Superkick Party for a near fall. Robinson ducked a BTE Trigger, as Gunn launched off his partner’s back with a Blockbuster on Nick. Matt spun out of Juice is Loose, as Nick tried a springboard, but Gunn hit a Flatliner in mid-air, right as Robinson laid out Matt with a Blade Runner for two in a great sequence.
Up to the corner Robinson & Matt went, as Robinson hit a hurricanrana, Matt held on and the two traded near falls. Nick low bridged Gunn to the floor, as The Bucks managed a Meltzer Driver to get the win. Matt scurried to get the money still scattered around the ring, putting it back into the bag as they celebrated.
Match Result: The Young Bucks defeated Bang Bang Gang to advance to the All Out Tag Team Title Ladder Match

-Video package for the Tornado Tailgate Brawl on the pre-show this Saturday before All Out featuring Willow Nightingale, Mina Shirakawa, Queen Aminata & Harley Cameron vs. Megan Bayne, Penelope Ford, Julia Hart & Skye Blue is shown.
The Beast Mortos vs. Mascara Dorada in a Unified Title All Out Qualifier
(A wild lucha clash, as these two are moving so quickly that it’s literally a blink and you miss about 5 moves kind of match. Despite one of the spots not working out all that great, they had moved on and recovered so fast that the crowd did as well, ultimately giving these two a much-deserved standing ovation.)
Lighting quick start by both, who trade hurricanranas, arm drags and leg sweeps aplenty that led to a stalemate. Lucha Libre chants by the crowd, as Dorada sprung off the post to the top rope into an arm drag, but while both were up, Mortos floated over into a Pounce followed with a Tornillo to the floor. Danielson on commentary said it’s like Mortos is defying physics, as Mortos remained in control during commercial.
Back from break, Dorada used his speed to backflip off the chest of Mortos and hit a wild arm drag out of the corner that led to a Déjà vu head scissors into another arm drag. Both went to the apron, where Dorada hit a huge Destroyer before delivering a Tornillo of his own. Back inside, Dorada missed a 450 and ran into the clutches of Mortos, who delivered a violent back breaker. Mortos wanted a pop-up Samoan Drop, but Dorada countered into another Destroyer. Dorada wanted a handspring, but Mortos countered this time almost into an Awful Waffle variation. With both slow to recover, it was Dorada who managed a Crucifix Bomb. An over-ambitious moment, where Dorada tried a double springboard into a spinning Destroyer but didn’t get much of it, so Mortos quickly corrected and got a roll-up for two. Both fought up to the top rope, where Dorada hit a spinning hurricanrana, but Mortos was out at one. Tilt-a-whirl backbreaker from Dorada led to a massive Shooting Star Press to give Dorada the win.
Post-match, Kazuchika Okada walked out carrying the Unified Title, while Don Callis was wearing the other two titles. Danielson brought up Callis walking out with Okada and not Konosuke Takeshita, whose music hit right on cue. Takeshita power walked into a face-off with Okada, causing Callis to step between them. Dorada flew into the shot and wiped-out Okada with a cross body, as he got up and was face-to-face with Takeshita, who was seemingly impressed with what Dorada just did.
Match Result: Mascara Dorada defeated The Beast Mortos to advance to the AEW Unified Title 3-Way at All Out

Spotlight on Timeless Toni Storm
The whore you all adore, the slut you can’t rebut, the trollop you can’t wallop, the skank you want to spank, this tramp is still the champ, but for how much longer, Storm does not know. 7 months ago, Storm won her baby back and since then, has lived ever day as if it’s her last. Slain beasts, Belt Collectors and Forever Champions, loving every single disgusting, sweaty, sexually questionable second of it because AEW is where the best wrestle. If you’re not willing to put your life on the line every time you step in the ring, darling, you ain’t sh*t. Now, Storm risks it all for three women deserving of this title, so if this is the end of her reign, it’s been the honor of her life. If they really want to take her title, Storm suggests you burn her body to the ground and pack her ashes into a little pipe before taking a big puff, as no one can get you as high as Storm.
Jamie Hayter walked in and said she’s not a fan of the spotlight, Storm can keep that, but it won’t look as good without that title. It’s been a long time since it’s been Hayter & Storm, who has seemed to forget some stuff, which Hayter doesn’t forget. She reminds Storm she invited Hayter into this match and Hayter Hits Hard. Kris Statlander walks in, somewhat questioning her resume that puts her in this match, even mentioning not wrestling for the AEW Women’s Title in 4 years and said neither Storm or Hayter have the ovaries to stop Stat. Storm said to trim their bushes bitches, as they’re going to go All Out and it’s going to be…
Thekla’s music cut off the go home line, as referees had to hold Storm back as Thekla made her way to the ring for her upcoming match.
Thekla vs. Queen Aminata in a No Holds Barred Match
Aminata was out with a trash can, chucking it into the ring, but brawling ringside with Thekla to start the match. Aminata threw multiple chairs into the ring, before scrapping with Thekla, dropping her with a snap suplex. More weapons thrown into the ring, as Thekla recovered, chucking Aminata over the barricade and cracking her in the head with a trash can lid.
Back from break, Aminata decked Thekla with a trash can back in the ring before hit a wild draping Twist of Fate onto the can two. Thekla got a chair shot in on Aminata’s back, leading to both women slugging it out while on their knees. Both rise, as Thekla ran right into an Aminata head butt for a close two. As Aminata slowly climbed to the top, Thekla rose from the dead and fired off a trash can lid shot. Thekla fought with Aminata in the ropes, but was shoved into the Tree of Woe, only to rise with another lid shot. Spider Suplex connects, as Thekla hit the Spider pose, charged for a Spear, but ran into a chair shot to the face. Aminata hit a twisting Fisherman’s Buster for another near fall. Aminata missed a leg drop off the second rope, as Thekla hit a Curb Stomp into the chair for the win, despite Aminata almost narrowly kicking out.
Post-match, Thekla took the mic and told Toni Storm to look no further, her end is right here. Storm hit the ring and mounted Thekla with punches in bunches until Jamie Hayter ran out and onto the apron. Kris Statlander showed up and swept out the legs of Hayter and the two brawled ringside until Wheeler Yuta & Marina Shafir came out, with Statlander screaming at Yuta that she doesn’t need his help, as Shafir shoved Yuta away. Meanwhile, in the ring, Triangle of Madness all were in the ring, as Julia Hart & Skye Blue attacked, but Storm fought them off, grabbed a chair, as they all bailed. Hayter appeared behind Storm and was about to take a free shot, but pulled up. Storm got right in Hayter’s face, as the two had to be separated by referee’s while Thekla was held up by Hart & Blue on the ramp, while Statlander left through the crowd.
Match Result: Thekla defeated Queen Aminata
-Alicia Atout is backstage with Sky Flight, asking Top Flight thoughts on their match with Josh Alexander & Hechicero later tonight. Darius said since the inception of Sky Flight, they’ve been on a roll and will keep it that way, tonight.
Hangman Page walks in and said he’s been dealing with The Callis Family for a while as well and told them to watch out for the Family members tonight, as the stip of The Family not interfering only applies to the World Title Match at All Out, not the tag match tonight, so be careful, that Family multiplies. Daniels told them Sky Flight have each other’s backs and for Page to defeat Fletcher at All Out. Page walks away as Sky Flight continued to strategize.
Kip Sabian & Killswitch (w/Mother Wayne) vs. JetSpeed (Speedball Mike Bailey & Kevin Knight) in an AEW Tag Team Title 4-Way Ladder Match Qualifier
(I thought the match itself was fine, but I’m somewhat torn on this Killswitch/Sabian arguing constantly. On one hand, it feels super rushed, while the other, it’s been long overdue for Killswitch to break off from this crew, especially with Christian Cage gone from this storyline. I assume we aren’t done yet, as Nick Wayne needs to return soon, but the crowd just wants Killswitch to return to being Luchasaurus, hopefully they’ll get it.)
Sabian completely ignored Killswitch, starting the match for his team, but quickly Killswitch took over, trying to use his size, which worked against him, as he was low bridged to the outside. Sabian was hit with a double dropkick, as Bailey & Knight kipped up and hit stereo slingshot cross body and springboard moonsaults to the outside. Mother Wayne bad mouthed Knight, telling him to know his place, as back inside, Bailey hit multiple pump kicks on Killswitch until Sabian tripped him up and followed with an Arabian Moonsault as things went to commercial.
Back from break, Sabian continued to refuse a tag to Killswitch, allowing Bailey to deliver rapid fire kicks and a reluctant tag from Sabian. Knight tagged in as well and flew in with a missile dropkick on Killswitch and leaping clothesline on Sabian. Killswitch dodged a DDT, but missed a Bailey blind tag, allowing Bailey to try a corner hurricanrana, Killswitch held on, so Knight joined the party and helped with a hurricanrana of his own. Running Shooting Star by Bailey, but Killswitch out at two. Double pump kick sent Sabian packing, as Killswitch ate a pendulum DDT and head kick by JetSpeed. Sabian returned with a springboard Tornado DDT on Knight, but Bailey saved his partner by hitting a moonsault double knees to Sabian. Killswitch delivered a headbutt and huge chokeslam, as Sabian ordered for the tag, slapping Killswitch, which referee Bryce said was a legal tag. Mother Wayne tried calming Killswitch down, as Sabian tried to steal the pin with feet on the ropes, but Killswitch shoved the feet off the ropes.
Killswitch held out his hand for a tag, but pulled it back when Sabian dove for it. Sabian was furious, as Killswitch told him to turn around, where Knight hit a springboard clothesline and Bailey took his head off with Time Adventure to win it. While Mother Wayne tended to Sabian, Killswitch opted to go back on the babyface side of the entrance.
Match Result: JetSpeed defeated Kip Sabian & Killswitch to advance to the All Out Tag Team Title Ladder Match
-Big Bill is backstage with Bryan Keith and brings up his match with Eddie Kingston at All Out. Bill said he won’t believe it until he sees it and calls this an international embarrassment if Kingston doesn’t show up after 16 months on the shelf, home, watching Bill wreck everyone in his way. People are saying Bill doesn’t belong in the same ring as Kingston, while it’s the other way around. If Kingston shows up, he’ll get exposed as a fraud. Bill walked off, while Keith yelled Fraud!

Bryan Danielson Sits Down with Darby Allin
Danielson said before they get into the Coffin Match with Jon Moxley, he wanted to ask why climb Mount Everest? Allin said he felt like he was living his life through someone else. He sees how the wrestling industry eats people alive and spits them out, as he was doing a lot for everyone else, but not himself. Footage of Allin climbing Everest was shown, as he said at the end of the day, all you have is your word and his word is what he gave people when he said he would climb that mountain. The photo is shown of Allin hanging the AEW flag at the summit and brings up what Jon Moxley did to Danielson last year; despite giving his word he’d always have Danielson’s back. Allin would never turn his back on who he considered family, take Sting for example, he’d never do to Sting what Moxley did to Danielson. Allin makes Danielson give him his word, no matter what happens at All Out, he won’t get involved.
Allin regrets every day what happened to Danielson at WrestleDream last year and Danielson said it wasn’t his fault, but Allin said Danielson’s career is over because of what Moxley did. Danielson said his word means just as much to him as it does to Allin and makes Allin promise him one thing. Danielson whispered something to Allin, who agreed and walked off. Back at commentary, Excalibur tried to get Danielson to say what he told Allin, but Danielson said it was between them.
Riho vs. Robyn Renegade
Renegade didn’t get an entrance, but Mercedes Mone did, who had all her titles spread out by the commentary table, as she joined the crew. Renegade used her size in the early going, as Mone kept mocking Riho for being “the little one” and not holding a candle to the greatest champion of all time. Head scissors sent Renegade into the ropes, where Riho met her with a charging dropkick. Staring Mone down, Riho went to the top and hit a diving cross body on Renegade.
During break, Renegade gained control, trapping Riho in a Tree of Woe and delivering a knee drop. Riho battled back with a Cazadora Double Stomp before going up top for another stomp, but rolled through after Renegade moved. Snap Dragon by Riho, who followed with a Crucifix Bomb for the win, staring Mone down throughout the finish.
Post-match, during the stare down, Renegade picked the ankle of Riho, allowing Mone to hit a Backstabber, standing tall over Riho, holding the TBS Title in the air.
Match Result: Riho defeated Robyn Renegade
-Footage of last week on Collision with Anthony Bowens & Max Caster fighting backstage and to the ring before being separated by Jerry Lynn. Swirl (Blake Christian & Lee Johnson) interrupted and beat down Lynn & Caster until a reluctant Bowens made the save. Lynn raised Caster & Bowens hands, but neither of them were really supportive of that.

-Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta & Daniel Garcia have a video package with Garcia challenging Katsuyori Shibata this Saturday. Samoa Joe said the challenge has been made and to be careful what young Garcia wishes for, as it’s been accepted. Garcia vs. Shibata 3 is official for the Tailgate Brawl before All Out.
Top Flight (Dante & Darius Martin w/Christopher Daniels) vs. Josh Alexander & Hechicero (w/Don Callis) in an AEW Tag Team Title 4-Way Ladder Match Qualifier
(We haven’t seen Top Flight on Dynamite since May, so it was nice to see them back in action on Wednesday’s. Alexander & Hechicero have been teaming well lately and it makes sense to have The Callis Family represented in a match where they could add even more gold to their ranks. The post-match saw plenty of chaos and I liked that Fletcher was left standing tall yet again, as they’ve done just as much as one could do with making someone a legit threat for the AEW World Title in the span of a few weeks. It should be an excellent World Title match and once that will hopefully keep Fletcher in the upper tier of matches going forward, I’m not saying he should win on Satuday, but he should start being in the discussion.)
Darius did a great job in the early going by avoiding the constant Hechicero submission attempts leading to a stalemate, as Alexander & Dante tagged in, where Dante used his speed to ramp up the offense. Slingshot senton by Dante, as Darius used his brother as a launch pad to plant Alexander with a Tornado DDT. On the outside, Hechciero helped Alexander out by placing Darius on the apron, allowing Alexander to hit his diving cross body and control during commercial.
It was all Don Callis Family during break, but when things returned, Darius managed to break free and dive for a Dante hot tag. Rising knee caught Alexander, as it was followed by a leaping head scissors, float over enzugiri into a Nose Dive for a close two. Hechicero made the save, but was sent packing by Dante, as Darius followed with a slingshot cross body outside before making the legal tag. Alexander side-stepped a step through DDT and hit rolling Germans, until Dante leapt over both and Top Flight hit a combo thrust kick Poison Rana. Alexander battled back, crotching Dante in the corner and a rolling back suplex on Darius. Hechicero tagged in with a brutal pump knee in the corner before a rolling assisted DDT with Alexander for a near fall. Darius tried a dive on Alexander, who hit a forearm mid-dive, but Dante was able connect on his Tope. Hechicero took the ref, as Alexander was able to send Dante crashing off the top rope. Hechicero quickly hit a running guillotine head scissors and got the pin.
Post-match, Lance Archer & Rocky Romero hit the ring and attacked Christopher Daniels, but Scorpio Sky & JetSpeed ran to make the save. The Young Bucks joined the brawl, as did Brodido, with the AEW Tag Team Champs standing tall in the ring until Bandido got an assist from King into a massive springboard moonsault on the pile. Brodido brawled to the back with The Bucks, JetSpeed & Hechicero as Archer laid out Daniels with a big boot before he & Romero threw him back into the ring. Archer was about to deliver a choke slam until Hangman Adam Page power walked to the ring. Romero was sent flying outside, as Archer was clotheslined to the floor as well. Page turned his back and caught Kyle Fletcher sliding into the ring, but Romero picked the ankle and Fletcher decked Page.
Tony Schiavone said the entire Don Callis Family is attacking Page, but only 3 of them are out there, as Romero & Archer set up a table ringside. Callis applauded as Fletcher brought Page to the apron tried a brainbuster, but Page floated over, clotheslined Fletcher back into the ring. Romero & Archer were dropped again, as Page went for a Buckshot, but flipped into a belt shot to the face. Fletcher quickly brought Page to the apron and hit a brainbuster through the table, similar to what put Kenny Omega out of action. Fletcher held up the AEW World & TNT Titles, as Excalibur questioned if Fletcher will be the first man to ever hold both titles simultaneously.
Match Result: Josh Alexander & Hechicero defeated Top Flight to advance to the All Out Tag Team Title Ladder Match
