MJF appeared to take a subtle jab at CM Punk’s Undisputed WWE Title win in a deleted social media post.
Many X users shared a screenshot of MJF’s now deleted Instagram story of Hulk Hogan’s WWE Title win at WrestleMania 9. The post quickly caught fans’ attention, with many speculating that it was a reference to Punk’s recent title victory and the circumstances surrounding his return to WWE programming.
The Hogan reference is commonly used by wrestling fans due to the controversy surrounding the event win that year. Hogan had won the WWE Championship moments after Bret Hart lost the title to Yokozuna, making it one of the most debated moments in WWE history.
The AEW World Champion’s move was seemingly a jab at his former AEW rival who returned to Raw this week and was incorporated into the Undisputed WWE Title match which was initially set to take place between Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn. Punk ultimately emerged victorious and capturing his 8th WWE World Title reign.
