AEW title match set to headline Friday’s CMLL event

A new match for the AEW Tag Team titles have been set.

CMLL revealed the poster and card for this coming Friday’s event in Mexico City. Bandido and Brody King will defend their titles against the team of Zandokan Jr. and Difunto. This will be their second title defense since winning the titles in a three-way match at AEW’s Forbidden Door event last month.

Since making his return to wrestling, Bandido has been working CMLL dates in addition to AEW and ROH, where he holds ROH’s World title. This past Friday in Mexico City, he teamed with Mistico in a winning effort against Angel de Oro and Hechicero.

AEW and CMLL have enjoyed a strong partnership this year, with AEW’s event in Arena Mexico drawing high praise. One of their top stars, MJF, is headlining this year’s CMLL Anniversario event against Mistico in a mask vs. title match.
