AEW wrestler Brian Cage working through torn lat

AEW wrestler Brian Cage is currently working through a torn lat.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, Cage wrote that he wrestled with a torn lat on last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Cage, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona & Lance Archer lost to Preston Vance, Adam Copeland, Orange Cassidy & Dustin Rhodes in an eight-man tag bout on the show. The match was in honor of the late Brodie Lee.

Cage suffered the torn latissimus muscle during a four-way match on the January 3 episode of Dynamite. It happened when Trent Beretta gave Cage a German suplex from the second rope.

“Welllllll, I may or may not have gotten a ‘boo boo’ last Wednesday night on Dynamite,” Cage wrote earlier this week. “But I’m not a man, I’m a machine! And the show must go on.”

Beretta won last week’s four-way match and advanced to challenge Eddie Kingston for the Continental Crown on AEW Collision. Kingston defeated Beretta to retain.

The Mogul Embassy (Cage, Kaun & Liona) are the current ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions. They’re defending against Archer & The Righteous on Collision this Saturday.
