AEW wrestler Queen Aminata not cleared for indie match
AEW wrestler Queen Aminata will not be able to compete in her scheduled match for indie promotion Deadlock Pro Wrestling this Friday.
After being pulled from the upcoming AEW Blood & Guts lineup, it was announced today that Aminata is also not medically cleared to compete for Deadlock Pro at their Showdown in Cary II event. She was scheduled to defend her DPW Women’s Championship against Dani Luna at the November 7 show in Cary, North Carolina. Instead, Luna will now face Jada Stone.
Deadlock Pro announced the following card changes while thanking fans for their understanding and continued support:
As announced by AEW, Queen Aminata is not medically cleared as of right now to compete this week so her scheduled title defense against Dani Luna will not be happening. Queen Aminata will still be in Cary, NC tomorrow Friday, November 7th for Showdown In Cary II for all the fans!… pic.twitter.com/9ZyW3Tez50

The issue that Aminata is dealing with has not been disclosed. She mentioned a possible knee injury on her vlog last month, though it’s not known if that has anything to do with this.
Mina Shirakawa is listed as Aminata’s replacement in the first-ever women’s Blood & Guts match. It’s taking place on Dynamite next Wednesday (November 12) and will pit Shirakawa, Kris Statlander, Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter, Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron against Thekla, Skye Blue, Julia Hart, Marina Shafir, Megan Bayne & Mercedes Mone.
