AEW wrestler suffers shoulder injury during CMLL match

Bandido suffered an injury on Friday night.

At CMLL Viernes Espectacular in Arena Mexico, Bandido successfully defended his ROH World Championship against Hechicero. Later that night, however, he posted an image to Instagram Stories of his arm in a sling and wrote that his shoulder popped out during the match.

Bandido wrote:

“Apologies to all the CMLL fans.
My shoulder popped out and went back into place.
Thank you, Hechicero, for being a gentleman.
We owe a third match to all our Mexican fans.”

The first Hechicero vs. Bandido match took place at ROH Death Before Dishonor in August, which was also won by Bandido.

Bandido is currently one-half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions along with Brody King as Brodido. They are scheduled to defend their titles on this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite against Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada of the Don Callis Family. Brodido have defended their belts four times since winning them at Forbidden Door on August 24, including once in CMLL.
