Lance Archer’s AEW contract is set to expire this summer.

In Friday’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, our own Dave Meltzer wrote that Archer’s deal is up in July.

Archer last wrestled under the AEW/ROH banner at the March 28 ROH TV tapings in Jacksonville.

Archer debuted for AEW on the March 11, 2020, edition of Dynamite from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida. Introduced as a client of Jake Roberts, he was immediately placed into a program that led to him and Cody Rhodes meeting in the finals of a tournament to determine the first-ever TNT Champion at Double or Nothing that year.

Archer is also a three-time IWGP Tag Team Champion in NJPW with Davey Boy Smith Jr. as part of the Killer Elite Squad, a 2011 G1 Tag League winner with Minoru Suzuki, and a two-time IWGP United States Champion.

He was voted “Most Improved” in the 2019 Wrestling Observer Newsletter Awards.
