AEW’s Jake Doyle torn bicep injury confirmed
AEW wrestler Jake Doyle sustained a torn bicep injury on the January 28th, 2026 episode of Dynamite during his World Tag Team Championship bout.
Midway through the match, Doyle suffered an injury while taking an apron DDT from Cash Wheeler. Although the exact moment isn’t fully confirmed, it appeared to happen when Doyle held onto the top rope while landing on the apron, with the added pressure seemingly tearing his bicep. Doyle was also heard calling out the injury aloud, and it was soon confirmed by Bryan Alvarez of WON. The match saw Davis and Doyle facing FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Titles on the latest episode of Dynamite.
Jake Doyle, previously known as Jake Something, was the latest addition to the AEW roster, following his transition from TNA Wrestling a few weeks ago.
Shortly after his debut, he found himself a part of the Don Callis Family in a tag team with Mark Davis. No official statement has been shared on Doyle’s injury, and there are no updates on his in-ring status. A torn bicep recovery generally takes three to six months of healing time.
