AEW’s MJF, Cash Wheeler react to New Day’s WWE departure
AEW’s MJF and Cash Wheeler posted references to New Day after news broke that Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston are leaving WWE.
On Saturday, our own Bryan Alvarez confirmed that Woods and Kingston were granted their release from the company after being asked to restructure their current agreements with TKO.
MJF posted to Instagram Stories:
“It’s a new day…. yes it is.”
Cash Wheeler of FTR posted:
“Cot damn

New Day vs. The Revival in WWE
Wheeler and his tag team partner Dax Harwood previously wrestled New Day several times while both teams were in WWE in 2019.
That year, New Day exchanged wins and losses in six-man tags against The Revival and Randy Orton. On the November 8 episode of SmackDown that year, taped in Manchester, England, Big E and Kofi Kingston defeated The Revival to win the SmackDown Tag Team titles. New Day then retained the titles against The Revival at the TLC pay-per-view in Minneapolis, Minnesota on December 15.
