Alex Windsor gives update on Will Ospreay injury recovery

In an interview with The Metro, Alex Windsor gave an encouraging update on her fiance Will Ospreay’s injury recovery.

Ospreay underwent neck surgery in September and remains out of action heading into 2026. Though a social media post last month appeared to indicate that Ospreay could be back in January, Dave Meltzer clarified that the AEW star is still a long way from returning to the ring. January is when Ospreay hopes to start working out with light weights.

Windsor said Ospreay is “smashing” his recovery — and she has no doubt that he’ll be better than ever once he’s able to get back into action.

“Of course, it has been a struggle for him, but he’s doing so well,” she told The Metro. “It’s no surprise, you know, but he’s absolutely smashing it. I personally [think] he’ll be back better than ever. I have no doubt about it in my mind.”

Ospreay and Windsor are both under contract with AEW. The couple got engaged this summer, and Ospreay is a stepfather to Windsor’s son. Windsor told The Metro that she’s excited for when she and Ospreay can be on the road together again every week.

AEW Dynamite is taking place from Manchester this Wednesday in Windsor and Ospreay’s home country of the United Kingdom.
