Anna Jay addresses AEW contract status ahead of Collision
Anna Jay addressed her contract status with AEW on a recent Twitch stream.
Jay hasn’t wrestled since the November 19, 2025 taping of AEW Collision, where she and Tay Melo lost a quarterfinal match in the AEW Women’s World Tag Team title tournament to Marina Shafir and Megan Bayne. Jay is scheduled to challenge Willow Nightingale for the TBS title on Saturday’s Collision.
In December, Fightful reported that Jay’s contract was expected to expire in spring 2026.
Jay confirmed during the Twitch stream that her contract is coming up. She also said other rumors regarding her situation with AEW were coming from a source who used to work with her but no longer does.
Jay said:
“A lot of stuff going on online that you guys have been seeing, a lot of it is not true. I guess, allegedly, the source was someone I used to work with, and he no longer is working for me as of a few months ago.
“So I don’t know exactly if that’s true or not, but it apparently came from him. The only thing out of everything that’s been posted that’s true is just that my contract is coming up, but that is it. That’s it. No big deal. That’s it.
“Everything else that you guys have seen is pretty much BS.”
On Thursday, Jay responded to a social media video that discussed her AEW status, including WWE’s reported interest in Jay and claims that she had been frustrated over not being featured more on AEW programming.
Jay wrote in response to the video:
“I don’t know where this information is coming from, and you don’t know what you’re talking about.
Please shut up.
See you guys on Collision Saturday”
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp later clarified that the information he reported had come from Jay’s representatives.
Sapp wrote:
“Full disclosure, I have reached out to Anna Jay today to communicate this — The information came directly from her reps/agents at the time when the details of her deal came out last year. Literally all of it. They have since said that she is handling her new deal herself. If they misrepresented that info, sorry to relay that info! But that’s the complete story about how that emerged. Every bit of it.”
