Bandido gets emotional following heartfelt backstage AEW moment

CMLL vs AEW ROH Card Bandido

AEW champion Bandido recently shared an emotional moment.

Last week in San Antonio, Texas, tag-team champion and ROH World Champion Bandido engaged in an heartfelt moment with his family backstage at Dynamite. Recently sharing the video on All Elite Wrestling’s official social media, Bandido was captured alongside his abuela (grandmother).

The 30-year-old brought his abuela to the San Antonio show to watch him wrestle. While the promising star lost to Kazuchika Okada in the Unified Championship match, his abuela was proud to watch him grace the squared circle, regardless of the result.

Later in the video, Bandido and his abuela were shown getting emotional while reminiscing about his childhood. Laughing and tearing up, the moment beautifully captured the role Bandido’s family has played in his wrestling journey.

Fans also got to see Bandido’s grandmother meeting members of the All Elite Wrestling roster, and Bandido also introduced Tony Khan to his family. One of the most popular stars on the roster currently, Bandido and tag partner Brody King are now set to defend their titles against the winner of Young Bucks vs. FTR vs. JetSpeed vs. Jurassic Express this coming Wednesday.

Bandido is all praise for AEW president Tony Khan

Earlier this year, during an interview with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, former AEW star Jack Hager dropped several heavy criticisms on his former boss, Tony Khan.

However, Bandido soon came to Khan’s support and praised his boss during his appearance on the Battleground Podcast.

“I’m very grateful with him. You know, he always believe in me since day one. Tony was very excited with me since PWG shows. And I’m just happy to be here now and that Tony believes in me. I just want to say thank you to Tony, thank you to all the company, and thank you to all my partners here because it’s such a great locker room over here.

Bandido was also presented with a signed Fulham FC jersey by Tony Khan at the Forbidden Door media scrum in London, earlier this year.
