Bandido shares message to Brody King after AEW Full Gear
Bandido says he’ll always be by Brody King’s side.
King and Bandido lost the AEW World Tag Team Championships to FTR at Full Gear, concluding Brodido’s three month reign with the belts. Following the loss, Bandido shared a message to his partner on Instagram:
“Hermano!! I write this to say thank you for everything!! Tonight was not our night but we went so far! In the beginning, nobody believed in us. Now, we made wrestling history!!! So don’t be sad. The diamond was discovered & it’s impossible to cover its brightness!! Remember you taught me how to never stop fighting!!! And that’s what we need to do now! I love you hermano! And I will always be by your side!”
Brodido won the titles in a three-way match at AEW All In: Texas against FTR and the then-champions Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin. Throughout their 90-day reign, they successfully defended the titles against Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta, Galeon Fantasma in CMLL, against JetSpeed, the Young Bucks and Hechicero & Josh Alexander in a four-way at All Out, and GOA’s Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona. Their final successful title defense came against Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada at WrestleDream.
Full Gear was the 18th time the AEW World Tag Titles have changed hands. FTR and The Young Bucks are the only teams to have won them more than once, having each had three reigns with FTR’s win on the pay-per-view.
