Bandido undergoes surgery to repair wrist injury

Bandido underwent surgery recently.

The former ROH World Champion suffered an injury to his wrist during a match against Konosuke Takeshita on the 6/14 AEW Rampage taping. On 6/17, Bandido posted to Facebook that doctors diagnosed it as a triangular fibrocartilage complex injury that would require immediate surgery. However, Bandido said he would seek a second opinion.

On July 6, he posted a photo of himself in a hospital bed.

LuchaBlog also posted a screenshot of Bandido in the hospital.

There is no timetable for Bandido’s return to the ring. However, according to one online medical resource, recovery time after surgery for a triangular fibrocartilage complex injury can be up to six months.

The injury comes at a time when Bandido and AAA have come into conflict regarding Bandido working the 6/2 show in Tijuana for The Crash. Konnan would say on his podcast that Flamita is done with AAA for the same reasons.
