Bryan Danielson has been announced for Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite event.
Tony Khan announced that Danielson will appear to address the upcoming Forbidden Door pay-per-view, which takes place this Sunday, as well as Blood and Guts, which takes place on June 29.
Danielson has been out of action with an injury since Double or Nothing last month, when he, Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston, Ortiz, and Santana lost to the Jericho Appreciation Society in an Anarchy in the Arena match. It was Danielson who passed out after a submission by Chris Jericho after Danielson and Kingston got into an argument.
Zack Sabre Jr. of New Japan Pro Wrestling has frequently been calling out Danielson, and did so again in backstage comments following Dominion. AEW announcers pushed on Friday the possibility of the match.
Here is the lineup so far for Wednesday’s Dynamite:
- Hiroshi Tanahashi & Jon Moxley vs. Lance Archer & Chris Jericho
- Will Ospreay & Aussie Open vs. Orange Cassidy & Roppongi Vice
- Bryan Danielson to speak on Forbidden Door, Blood and Guts events
- AEW All-Atlantic Championship qualifying match: Penta Oscuro vs. Malakai Black
