‘Captain’ Shawn Dean signs contract with AEW

AEW Dark regular “Captain” Shawn Dean is now officially a signed member of the promotion’s roster.

AEW president and CEO Tony Khan posted a tweet on Friday announcing that Dean has signed with AEW. “Thank you for your service to the USA, @ShawnDean773, + thank you for everything you’ve done for @AEW to help us thrive through the pandemic,” Khan tweeted. “Your consistent hard work, positivity + reliability have made you so valuable to #AEW; now it’s my honor to officially welcome you aboard!”

Dean, who is a veteran of the United States Navy, has regularly appeared on AEW Dark since making his AEW debut in March 2020. He’s also wrestled on Dynamite twice.

Dean and Carlie Bravo are part of a tag team called The Infantry in AEW. Bravo is a veteran of the United States Marines.
