Chris Jericho announcement teased for AEW Dynamite
An announcement by AEW World Champion Chris Jericho is being teased for this week’s Dynamite.
AEW sent out a tweet today teasing that Jericho will make a “huge announcement” on tomorrow’s show. Jericho also hyped the announcement on Instagram: “I’ve got a HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT to make TOMORROW NIGHT on #AEWDynamite…and trust me you are NOT gonna wanna miss this one! #historymaker @allelitewrestling @aewontnt #LeChampion”
After retaining the AEW World Championship against Cody Rhodes at Full Gear, Jericho teamed with Sammy Guevara as they unsuccessfully challenge for SCU’s Tag Team titles in the main event of last week’s Dynamite. Scorpio Sky pinned Jericho to win the match.
It was confirmed yesterday that the January 22 episode of Dynamite will be filmed on Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager at Sea cruise.
Nick Jackson vs. Fenix, Jon Moxley vs. Darby Allin, Santana & Ortiz vs. Private Party, and a Dynamite Dozen battle royal are also set for tomorrow’s Dynamite. The final two wrestlers in the battle royal will face each other next week, with the winner getting a diamond ring.
