ROH World Champion Chris Jericho has issued a challenge to Bryan Danielson for the October 12 AEW Dynamite.

After defeating Bandido and successfully defending the ROH title in the main event of Wednesday's Dynamite, Jericho stated that he intended to desecrate Ring of Honor's legacy, and defeat every former ROH champion, commentator, referee, and ring announcer. He issued the challenge to Danielson, then punctuated his segment by attacking Ring of Honor ring announcer Bobby Cruise.

The October 12 Dynamite will be held at the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto, the company's debut show in Canada. A Rampage taping will be held in the same building the next night.

Danielson and Jericho faced off at All Out on September 4, with Jericho coming away with the victory. Danielson won a rematch in the Grand Slam Tournament of Champions on Dynamite on September 14.

Jericho defeated Claudio Castagnoli to win the ROH World title for the first time at Dynamite Grand Slam at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City.
